Oh from the flashbacks it seemed like Young was wayyy younger and showed him growing up through the years. Also,…
I've just been reading through the reviews and a lot of people agree with you. And I totally understand why. I see things a bit differently. When I came out to my family I was told exactly the same thing (I'm a gay guy). Years later some of my aunts and uncles still don't have anything to do with me because I'm disgusting in their eyes. Sometimes right and wrong means different things to different people. My view is that as long as I'm not hurting anyone, I'm OK. It's through this experience of mine that I look at Xing Si and Youngjie. They're the owners of their happiness and they're only ones who have to be happy their choice. Sorry if I've written too much. Please let me know if you want me to delete it and I will.

Actually, Youngjie and his mom moved into Xing Si's home when Youngjie was ten years old. Xing Si was 18 at the time. That means Xing Si was probably in Year 12. Xing Si had moved out of home in 2nd of year of college. This means that all up, the two step brothers only lived together for most likely two or probably three years. They didn't grow up together.

I love what you've said. This parallels my own thinking in so many ways. I loved the show and I loved that by confronting me, it gave me the opportunity to re-assess my views on right and wrong. The script and the direction were excellent.

His birth name is HanJun but he's working under the name SeoHoo right now because of a scandal during his trainee…
Whatever happened, it didn't involve police and he wasn't sentenced in court. Only gossip exists. It could well be that someone just set out to tarnish his name for some reason.

What was the scandal? (His bio mentions something from his trainee days...)
There was never any elaboration on what the "scandal" was. It was all just gossip. Maybe someone was just being playful.

I loved "Craving You". You did a great job with your character. To me, Kane came across as sincere, very likeable, confused because he wanted love and brave because he chose the path of his own happiness. Thank you for the journey that you took me on.

I have finished watching "Grey Rainbow" and I wanted to tell you that your review pretty much parallels how I found the story. Most of the reviews I've read don't get the ending. You did. Your review is the only one I've yet read that says the ending is not without happiness. That's what I felt, too. I'm going to watch this a second time because I think it's one of those shows that it's good to revisit once you know the story (probably because it's told in flashback). Thanks again!

will there really be a movie, if yes, do you know when thanks? :)
I don't know. I hope so but there probably won't be. They don't usually make movies.
After watching "What The Duck", I'm a big fan of Strong's. He and Oreo had one of the best lots of on-screen chemistry that I've ever seen. Their characters' relationship was authentic and 100% believable. For me, Strong's playful-but-innocent character was the perfect complement for the innocence of Pop. Strong was truly awesome. It was he and Oreo who carried this show. While I didn't like "What The Duck 2" that much, again it was carried very competently by Strong and Oreo. I got the feeling that the producers where hopeful of a third installment of the series. This would have helped tie up the loose ends at the close of WTD #2.

I have just finished watching both series of "What the Duck". Oreo is an outstanding actor. My partner and I have watched numerous BL shows and we both agree that Oreo is amongst the best actors we have seen. The way he manages to convey nuances of emotion through facial ticks or eye movements is incredible. The genuineness and sincerity of his characterisations sets him apart from most other actors. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of him. "What The Duck" could have been so much more outstanding if Pop and Strong were given more consideration in the script. Their pairing was a touch of genius and the chemistry between these two men was on a level rarely seen in BL.

Thank you for this review. It's 2020 now and I've just finished watching "What The Duck 2: Final Call". I agree with everything you have said. You've done a great job putting this review together.

I think that he's one of the best character actors in K-dramas and K-movies. He approaches everything he does with intelligence, a thorough understanding of the character he's playing and he makes every character 100% believable.

I'm watching Itaewon Class right now. This guy is good. Getting the chance to act alongside an actor as competent as Park Seo Jun is an incredible opportunity for Kim Dong Hee. He's going to be a man to watch in future dramas.

Review Hotel del Luna Spoiler
They both saw the last dream and it showed that Mago let them first met when they were children. He saved her life. Maybe there were even each other's first love. What I took from this was that Mago was saying they would be reincarnated and would meet again. So while it was goodbye at the moment, it wasn't the final goodbye. I really love the idea of reincarnation.

It's great that Lee Shi Kang is starring in "Because Of You". He's a trail blazer! It's a pretty big thing for a Korean celebrity to undertake a gay acting role. This will help the gay community in Korea a great deal. It will also help all gay guys everywhere feel more comfortable with themselves. Thank you Lee Shi Kang.

Review TharnType
Hi ChinguMode. Thank you for such a fantastic analysis. You know your stuff!

Early on in the show when Tharn 'had fun' with homophobic and drunk Type, and made Type think that he'd been molested, I felt very uncomfortable. I did not think that this was good role modelling at all because Tharn sexually assaulted Type. I nearly stopped at that point. I’m male, and I honestly don’t think that guys need encouragement when it comes to overstepping boundaries. Unfortunately we often mess relationships up by not properly understanding boundaries. For this reason, I think that males need to be shown (a) how to appreciate what the boundaries are and (b) how to respect those boundaries. At this stage of the show, I didn’t know Tharn. Later, though, when Tharn became a really likeable character, this early version of Tharn did not do him justice. To be honest, I think it would have been more in keeping with Tharn’s character if he’d loosely tied Type to the bed and then stuck notes over Type’s clothes and on his forehead saying what he could have done but didn’t.

Another side of this coin is represented by the phrase “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”. Just because Type was being and idiot, it was wrong of Tharn not to give him the benefit of the doubt and think that there’s something serious behind Type’s behaviour. As you pointed out, Type was a very damaged person because of being raped when he was 11 years old. Had Tharn known that, he would never have done what he did to drunk Type and then later on when he manhandled Type. It would have been nice if a little more had been made of the fact that Tharn did the wrong thing to a damaged soul. I think that a good lesson could have been taught here.

Anyway, I kept on watching it and I’m glad that I did. I thought that the two guys acted “tenderness” incredibly well. Their ability to portray intimacy was outstanding. Emotional intensity was a little harder for them but, as you’ve already indicated, the "Lhong" section of the story didn't do anything to enhance character development. I thought it lacked believability and this made it difficult for all involved to maintain their characters. In my opinion, Gulf and Mew’s acting was held back by the script at this stage. It was still good, though, given what they had to work with.

Overall, though, I really enjoyed the time I spent with this show. It made me feel good. And even though he’s the villain, I really enjoyed Lhong’s singing the title song. Kaownah’s voice and presentation was excellent. I even found myself watching KLIMAXX video clips as a result!

Review The Untamed
Great review. I am in the middle (ep 11) of this, but this helps. I didn't really do any research b4 hitting PLAY.…
You're safe. I don't like horror stuff either and there was nothing that disturbed me.
