As someone who has read the book too, you explained it perfectly. and I honestly think the drama is much better because the book is more complicated. The drama is lighter, with their misunderstandings based on their own internal struggles rather than the stepmother becoming an obstacle. Also, he didn’t push too further with his actions in the drama which makes it a bit more comfortable. I’d choose the drama over the book tho the book was good.

Same. I thought Peng and Yinrui had major roles in it but it turns out they were only guests. It’s fine, as long as their role is a significant part of the story. And it is.

I’m just finding out that Wan Peng has a guest role in it. I’ll watch it.

I was genuinely frustrated when I saw that Wan Peng is the female lead but no one seemed to give af. And rather, everyone was promoting and pairing Lian jie who is a guest role instead of the main couple . I get it, Lian Jie is lovely and she had a recent project with Jingyu but Wan Peng is the female lead of this drama and deserves to have her moment. Also all filming scenes I saw previous was of Jingyu and Jie, as though Peng is only a support character. Thankfully I’ve being seeing a couple of videos of them filming together. I hope we see more of Wan Peng 🤍

Is there a way Wan Peng can be free from her current agency and move to another which would invest in her? She’s such an incredibly and natural talented actress, they’re wasting her skills. I don’t know which kind of contract she signed, but I hope she soon gains freedom from them and move to another.

Her agency only supports their male actors and mostly ignore females, especially when they have no connection
