Ikr. I wonder if the ML is in some controversy or maybe the plot is problematic? Reading the plot, it seems like a Republican dramas based on some historical events so maybe it was not approved to be released. Maybe they veered too far from history or were going to include someone who was problematic in the past?

I wanted to check it out for Qin Lan but alas........

Exactly, when I saw the plot of the drama and vibes of it, I wonder why it didnt air on CCTV instead because that drama seems more suitable for that audience and it will more likely do much better there imo.

There are dramas here that ended since 3,5,10 years and people still comment on them.

This happens in most popular drama pages here . ABAY is no different. Actually it's quite tame here ( hopefully I didn't jinx it) because I've seen worse things said in other dramas pages here.

Some people will come here and maliciously downrate it or berate the leads, other actors, fans of the show for whatever reasons. It sucks but 🤷

I understand being protective over our faves and being upset about people criticizing her for whatever reasons but the more notoriety , popularity or success you gain especially with a project , the more detractors you have, that's just the way things are. It is not fair but life isnt fair.

Well of course Seven didnt have this much "negativity " with these other dramas. 1- that was a few years ago 2- XK is her most popular ML since Allen Ren 3- she is gaining more fans as a results

The more popular an actor becomes, the more that person works with popular actors, the more detractors they will get. Dilraba, Lusi, Esther, Yang Mi, Bai Lu .....all of these popular actresses get these comments and worse sometimes !!! Even popular male actors get them to some degree.


Yes Seven is not a traffic actress but ABAY IS a popular work.

Why do some Seven fans want her to be stagnant in her career/projects and prefer her to work more with some LESS popular actors more because she wont have to deal with the " hate"? Thankfully she will continue to choose project that speaks to her instead of what some of her fans want her to do 😎😎.

ABAY is in the TOP 3 of my fave Dramas of Seven and I am not going to let some people's negative comments spoil that for me. Plus the promo was 1 of the best ones Ive seen Seven do since the Sword and the brocade . Her and XK had one of her best chemistry on and off screen....

You should just mute these people or block them. They are in a MINORITY . A lot of people loved/love this drama and like Seven as an actress (even people who are not fans of her )

Seven turns 35 in a few months. She is not kid. I understand your frustration but sadly this is not uncommon in the entertainment industry.

We have to be realistic. You cant just expect your fave to get all positive or fluff comments all the time, it does not work like that. I see some of these comments and I dont let them affect me. Sometimes I reply, sometimes I block .

Most importantly, I understand that some people are not going to like my fave for whatever reasons🤷🤷🤷.

Seven worked very hard on this project and liked it so Idk why we should just "move on" or forget it because of the "negativity that never happened in 7 years"🙃🙃

I for one hope that ABAY continues to get more recognition and that she wins something for her hard work in this drama at Weibo night or other awards shows🤞🤞👍.

You can be the best person, have the best personality, best works , unproblematic , all the good qualities and they are ALWAYS going to be people who hate on you for whatever reasons. It sucks but that's life !!!

That's crazy 👏👏. Good for them. Well ABAY still did very well overall and quite frankly exceeded my expectations on how it did with their ratings ( especially airing around the Olympics 😅😅) and other chart rankings while it was airing.

Some of the reviews saved me from watching this 👍👍.
Also I think that FL is a great actress but she's typecasted a lot for my liking. She's always playing more or less the same type of characters with some variations imo in these historical, Xianxia, wuxia....... dramas. Tough nonsense, cunning, bad ass.... FL. Don't get me wrong these roles get her the most success but some diversity in her acting roles would be nice.
