I'm not surprised if it's not romance heavy. I am pretty sure that it was almost meant to be the case. From the very beginning I think that the goal of this drama was to mostly educate the audience about the history of brocade in China and the story of the FL....the things she accomplished. Like I'm sure we'll get some romance but I think that it'll be less than sword of the brocade for example.

I'm more looking forward to Xiao yao honestly 🙈🙈🙈 but of course I'll support her once that drama is out.

Please do not trust any news you see on youtube when it comes to XK; even most C actors for that matter.
I remember a video a few weeks ago on youtube saying that Seven and Yang zi because of their performance for ABAY and LYF2 are both contenders for the golden eagle goddess award this year ; even had so many people in the comments believing it and spreading in other social networks when the reality is that it does not exist anymore. They discontinued that award show in 2020 after Victoria Song won. There was so much controversy about it and they cancelled the whole thing.
That site is breeding ground for Fake News (especially for XK). I dont even bother clicking on the videos or comment in some of them how whatever BS they are saying is wrong.

A c drama cannot air without obtaining the distribution license and this drama doesn't have it yet.
For example, I just saw today that the FL of the Double obtained the distribution license for her next drama( love me kill me? I think that's the name)today which means that the drama will air soon. This is always how it works.

I'll come back here in a few hours to see this air drop that people are talking about.

Even 2 stills of hers they released after that tiktok video, the quality looked iffy imo . Yep I could tell when they released that tiktok video that they probably realized that fans were not happy and were trying to do some damage control 😒😒. Whatever.

This is 1 of the reasons why I want her next projects to be with Tencent. I criticize them sometimes as well but they seem to promote her projects the best out of Youku and Iqyi imo.
We got so much materials for ABAY; the Tencent conference last year;1 photoshoot, 1 variety show, 1 variety special episode ; not counting the douyin, Weibo presscons, mango interview........I still feel like it could have been more especially when you compare it to other recent popular dramas but it is the most we got in years so yeah....ABAY was the most promo she had since Under the Power imo.
Youku sucks at promoting but every year they seem to pick and choose 2 or 3 projects they're going to promote more and this one so far doesn't look like 1 of them . At this rate, I'm blaming them and the production team.

I stand with them 😤!!! That drama promotional team sucks 👎👎. They're not building hype for this drama at all. What's up with all the secrecy and being so stingy with materials or promos?? Some people are going to say " don't worry, it just shows that they are confident in the project" whatever that means 🙄🙄. At the end of the day, good dramas deserve good promotion like they said.

It's highly disappointing also because this is her 1st billing historical drama and this is a female focused drama. I guess I was expecting too much🙃🙃.

That brocade Odyssey team was forbidding Reuters to even leak. These days, that's good easy drama promo for most dramas.

This drama team pisses me off so bad🫤🫤. They're not doing enough imo to build the hype of the drama🫤. To get people outside of Seven and the other actors fans to tune in.
Even if you're confident in your work and Seven 's ability to get passerbys to watch her dramas, you still need to promote it well. I feel like they take it for granted. This drama has so much potential.

I really hope that the rumour that her next drama is produced by Youku is nothing but a rumour. I really do not like that network🙄🙄. None of them are perfect and all have their issues but I'll take Tencent and Iqyi all day.
