No I'm not from China but I follow a few of her fanbases that post stats about the drama daily so that's how I know how it's doing. OMG and all her previous co stars who supported her for the movie. Notably 1 of my favorites Song Wei Long ( my Go Ahead heart is so happy that they're still close), Zheng ye Cheng too....they were many others too but I like these 2 out of the ones that were mentioned lol. Btw the movie crossed 100 million yesterday 🎉🎉🎉. Yup great , great reviews.

Another reason why I didn't even want to read the novel beforehand because I want to be pleasantly surprised.. I've noticed that a lot of people who read some drama novels beforehand seems to be somehow disappointed with the drama because sometimes scriptwriters make a lot of changes. I do hope that there won't be too many changes with ABAY.

I saw rumours that it'll air at the end of December? Once again I hope they are nothing but rumours. Idk what's up with the need to air it so soon. March/ April seems to be the perfect timing to air it. Once again I hope we at least get a reality show or something.....I hope Tencent doesn't drop the ball on really promoting it.

His popularity already skyrocketing imo. I keep seeing some milestones that both broke online. I know that Journey to you was 4 and SOKP 10 for most popular IQYI dramas of the year from the list they released a few days ago. I do hope to see him in a modern drama next though. I also hope that he keeps taking different roles and that he is not typecasted like some popular C actors are.

I feel like some people who are hardcore ZZ supporters or who wanted him to end up with FL mostly do so because he seems to be "the good guy ", morally upright type of man, .....I'm sorry but people like him in ancient times would get themselves or their loved ones killed with their morally upright nature. I've watched too many historical dramas to know that. You couldn't survive long term with that type of personality no matter how "good" technically you're.

I don't agree. I really don't think she ever loved him, the SML . It always felt like guilt or he's the "best guy on paper"so I should be with him. We are all entitled to our opinions but I don't understand people thinking that she settled with the ML. Her feelings with ZZ always felt like making it up to him for what she did in the past.. how is that love? Also with her character, personality, moral compass it doesn't make sense for her to end with him anyways.

Such a beautiful episode . I miss this couple so much♥️♥️♥️. Hope ZLH and Bailu reunite in the future in another drama 🤞🤞

Ughh I know. Such a well written character and well played by the actor too. As much as I would have wanted to see him find his own happiness, I'm glad that they didn't go the lazy route that I've seen a lot of dramas do...where they suddenly get these types of characters a love interest out of nowhere and this deep love he had for the FL suddenly disappear. The portrayal of this character in that sense was so realistic. In real life, we don't always end up with people we love no matter how" good "we may be for them . At the end of the day, XW was more suitable for the FL. I feel bad for Yan Li...ughhhh but it's what it is.

It's going down in my top 5 of fave Chinese historical dramas ever. I have watched quite a lot of these types of dramas. That's how much I loved it. I usually don't mind intense political dramas as long as they are well done and this one was. So glad to finish the year on a bang with such an amazing drama 🎉🎉🎉

Story of Kunning Palace is my 1st drama of him and I have to leave some words of appreciation on his page. I loved, loved his acting in this drama and for such a " rookie " actor ( I read that he debuted in 2020...someone correct me if I'm wrong), he is so impressive. He has a very bright future ahead of him. I hope next year is an even bigger year for him.

I saw a few popular tweets mentioning him so his character and the actor did leave an impression.

Teaaaaaaaaaars. I just finished the drama..what do I do now? I miss them so much already 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲. 1 of the best historical Chinese dramas I've ever seen. I will wait...gather my thoughts and leave a review after but this deserves at the very least 9.0 ratings on MDL. Ughhhh I feel a void now 🫤🫤🫤
