I like Song wei long but I haven't found one of his recent dramas that I liked. You convinced me with this review to give it a try.

Well tbh I see this all the time with every other drama here on MDL; this one is no different.
I literally had a drama that I was watching last year, the 2 episodes were not even fully out but so many people already gave it 1 star because they didnt like some of the actors or the pairing; Just petty reasons lol.

This aside, I am sure that the fans who enjoy this drama will love it but I am not seeing glowing reviews about this either outside of MDL.

So do you click on every profile that rated it 1 star to see what age they are? I just find this overgeneralization peculiar. Like I stated, there have been other melodramas that dealt with heavy or depressing subjects that were still popular despite low ratings. This is just not one of them so far. Sometimes a drama doesnt click with the public for a myriad of reasons, it doesnt necessarily have to be the demographic of people watching or not watching it.

They already have him out there working and it is not even July yet; good to see him. Kind of hard to tell if he suddenly recovered this soon. Wishing him the best.

I just knew that this drama would flop ratings wise as soon as I read the script the 1st time so I am not surprised with the low ratings; especially for a SBS primetime drama. The actors are great but sometimes that's not enough....not surprised by the low rating on MDL here either.

Also some people need to stop blaming viewers age if the drama dont perform to their likings. There have been quite a few melodramas who did very well ratings wise; even if the drama did poorly ratings wise in SK , it was at least popular on SNS and even here but this drama doesn't fit that bill so far from what I am seeing.

It's rumoured to air after the princess gambit which aired yesterday so most likely sometimes next month.

Yup and she also promoted Neo Hou past dramas. She's constantly booking theaters for some of her past co stars .

She's the sweetest. Such a supportive friend 🙂. She always does things like these for some of the people she worked with.

I know that fans miss him but it is good that he is resting a little especially after the health concerns he had lately....like he had trouble standing or was walking with difficulty when he was still shooting a few weeks ago. That's not good at all.
I know that fans want to see him or his content but he has to rest for a little while and he will be back next month which is like in a few days. Sometimes I feel like some fans want content and they forget stuff like this.

Well it is nice to dream lol. I am not too familiar with his career so I wouldnt know. I think that besides female centric roles (1st billed), the only ones she would take moving forward is equal billing (and this is if the ML is very popular which would makes sense).
Anyways, I hope that we get another casting news. I lowkey want her to give modern drama a break so I hope that we get another xianxia or even wuxia.

You're welcome. So happy for him. The Korean cinema industry is struggling these days and a lot of movies fail to surpass even 1 million audience but he managed to deliver 2 blockbuster movies this year.

I think that they will definitely make some changes otherwise it won't even pass censorship.
I haven't read the novel but I got an idea of how the ML is since some people spoiled it in the comments lol. It doesn't bother me that much because watching these historical dramas I put myself in the mind that this is what it was like in these times. They're trying to replicate more or less how it was in these times so watching it ,even if some things bother me, I'm able to appreciate "that history", sympathize to how it was.

I read comments on X .The melon doesn't seem fake so let's see. He's strongly rumoured for it.
