The only Chinese drama I haven't dropped
This show is absolutely beautiful. I don't mean that in an aesthetically pleasing way, though that's not bad, but in a purely sweet, fluffy, and romantic way. I could not stop watching this and binge watched it to the end within a couple days. I know, I have a problem, but the characters were just so compelling and the plot was so fun and enjoyable. This is the only cdrama I've been able to actually finish, as the title suggests. The men are actually tolerable and not overbearing or abusive. It's the first cdrama I've seen to not have abusive ML and just abusive men in general throughout with annoyingly childish FL no matter the age of them. This FL is young and younger than the ML and the plot is her having a crush on the ML who's 5 years older and her brother's best friend. Maybe it's because this is the exact story with my husband and myself, I was drawn to it. My husband and I both absolutely fell in love with these characters though. The girl is quite youthful and naïve at times, but so is the guy and they felt like the perfect match because of this.
If you're looking for a fluffy, sweet, airy romance with little drama, this is the show for you. I love some good drama, don't get me wrong, but this was just what I needed to step away from all the drama and just enjoy some good, entertaining love

Great fun with a little skipping
What I didn't like... I didn't like the female lead's acting. Her eyes were always dead and she was smirking more than half the time. I didn't love the whole past life thing either and the curse felt really fickle with the back when writers wanted it and gone when they wanted too. I also hated the whole 2nd lead thing. Throw that whole plot away. It is so incredibly rare to be pursued by two men or women and I'm so sick of seeing it. Get those 2nd leads out of my kdramas! Anyways, moving on...What I did love was Rowoon in this. He did an amazing job and I actually enjoyed the way the murder subplot was written in. It was one of the most enjoyable for the fact that several people drank the potion, but responded differently to it due to their personalities. I loved that. I also loved the ML's parents. I loved them both. I know, in a kdrama, I loved both his parents. I'm really saying that. I would like to say that I didn't love his father as a husband to his mother, but I still really enjoyed his character and loved him as his father. He made sense. They were both so lovely and I could've watched way more scenes of Rowoon and the mom together just having good times as mother and son. That would've been a blast.
I had a great time with this show, but I did skip some, so that may account for some of the joy since I skipped much of the annoying 2nd lead stuff. I just hate to waste my time. But without it, I had a blast and hope others will love this one too. Oh forgot to mention the evil girl, but she didn't seem much worth mentioning, however I kind of did like that subplot and found it to have a satisfying end for once

Yikes!
What a terrible plot. The FL apparently needs to change everything about herself and become ultra skinny, with no work on her part btw, for the ML to be interested. He was a crap ML, so I'm not sure why the FL should want to be with him in the first place. Move on to someone who's actually good. Also, if you want to change your body and be skinnier, you should do it for yourself, your health, and mental health (if it bothers you that much). And if you choose to do that, it will take a lot of work. Surgeries will not solve it for you and won't keep it solved either. Such a horrible message! Was this review helpful to you?

Not Worth Watching
I honestly can't give this more than 1 star. It's bad, and I mean bad. There's really nothing good or interesting to take away from it. It's not even entertaining. I had to start skipping quite a bit as the characters became more and more idiotic with every scene. Also, I have to mention that the FL was given absolute garbage to wear. She looked like a toddler had dressed her throughout the whole show. I wouldn't mention it except it was actually visually distracting. And her hands, awkwardly in her pockets in every scene, making her look nervous or pretentious, didn't help make the clothes less noticeable. She wore more hideous types of shorts than I knew existed. Anyways, this is more of a side note, but it became less so when they were so distracting in each scene.
Both the ML and FL were pretty much useless in this show. They seemed clueless half the time and kept allowing important documents, people, or info to get leaked, hurt, killed, or misplaced. It was a train wreck, all in the name of drama and entertainment. Drama shouldn't have to be written in such a braindead way though.
And the FL learning kick boxing and defense in jail seemed to be completely forgotten about anytime the writers needed a convenient dramatic scene or heroic rescue. I hate writing like this. It just felt like some fangirl fantasy written out on Tumblr. I have no problem with a daring rescue, but make it make sense and don't make the leads fools for it. And I love a man rescuing a woman, but in this case she can fight and he really can't. She should be doing some rescuing and she should be able to defend herself, since that was kinda the point of learning it. A pathetic kick at the end to her ex's hand was simply not enough, especially since he overpowered her at every turn cuz she sucks apparently. They needed to show that she was tough, not try to tell us with her oversized, potato sack blazers.
It was pretty bad. My point for all of this is that you shouldn't waste your time suffering through this like I did for it to get good. It never does and leaves you with a very annoying and vague ending that feels like a complete waste of 12 hours anyways. Just ugh... What a shame that they didn't do better

Get ready to laugh a lot and just have a blast with this one
I had to give this a 10/10, even it wasn't technically perfect. It made me so happy watching it and I couldn't stop laughing and smiling. That, to me, deserves a 10/10. It had places where I thought they'd go in a different direction or where I wanted something else to happen, but it was great honestly. I loved the cast and I couldn't think of anyone better to play the lead than Jinyoung. This was the first thing I saw him in and he did so great I just can't imagine anyone else in the role.If you love body swap shows, then you'll love this. It was really not what I expected in a body swap, but in a pleasantly surprising way. I just loved every moment watching this. It was one of those movies where I wish I could bring back that "first time watch" feeling every time I watch it. I hope that pumping it up won't ruin it for others though, as your expectations can change the way you view and it and I went in not expecting much.
I would say to go for watching this when you're in the mood for some comedy, great acting, and when you're just ready to have some fun. i had a blast watching this and I hope others will be able to enjoy it as well!

Not Worth Watching
This was pretty bad. I found it on Tubi and was so excited because I have always wanted to watch it since watching Ji Chang Wook in The K2, but I was so disappointed. It felt like it was so rushed. It fell into the same issue of Korean entertainment seeming to only be capable of writing shows and not movies. The only movie I've loved that's Korean is The Dude in Me, and that remains to be the case still.I loved Ji Chang Wook in this still because, I mean, he's one of the best actors out there, period. But, even he could not save this movie. It felt like it lacked an actual story. The progression felt stunted and some people seemed to die for no reason. Several actors in this did a great job, it's just that their characters needed to be fleshed out more. It felt like it needed to be a short series with more character development and explanation. As it was, it was just a rushed production where the story fell flat and the characters didn't make much sense. They basically did the "tell, don't show" instead of "show, don't tell."
Well, I won't give up on the Korean movies, but the latest two that I watched did nothing to fuel my desire to pick up another movie anytime soon.

This Was Alright...
This was alright. It needed a bit more depth for me and more happy scenes. I did really enjoy the ending and the other 2 couples in this show, but the main couple wasn't great. The ML takes waaay too long to understand, or act on his feelings. When he finally does, they get broken up and he does nothing to try and stop this or chase after the FL.I do appreciate that the 2 exes are portrayed as being in the wrong, since they most definitely are. They had to grow as people in order to be better partners. It's good that they show some of that growth, but I absolutely hated the 2FL/2OHY. She was so terrible and selfish. They try to show her side of the story but, I'm sorry, she just comes off as entitled and self-centered. I don't really love her redemption arc as what she did and her constant gross behaviors towards the FL shouldn't have been brushed past. I just wanted to punch this girl all the time and the show really needed to be shorter so that I didn't have to feel that way all the time. Too much screen time for her with the FL. It could've been 12 episodes and cut out a lot of filler and wasted moments.
Anyways, I really did love the ending and many of the side characters. The leads had several cute parts towards the end too, but I wasn't as moved by them. I loved the FL's coworkers and parents so much. How often can you say that about a k-drama lol. Great cast though in many ways, I just with the ML was better as I felt he was very lacking in this story. I prefer a stronger, more secure ML, but I get they were going for something else. He also way too prideful for me and never wanted to really show affection or do anything that he didn't see as manly. There are a lot of men like this, but not my style and that's part of why I didn't like them much.
I'm giving a 6/10 for the great ending and the awesome side characters, but I need my ML to be better since he's half of the focus of the show. On that note, the FL was great, if a bit overly eager. I loved much of her honesty and vulnerability. If it didn't drag so much and focus on constant separation and desperation, I would have given this a higher rating. I recommend skipping a lot if you want to just get to the good stuff and the other couples. Still worth watching for them, I think <3

The Kdrama Tropes Are Strong With This One
I really wanted to get into this kdrama and I kinda loved the male lead in this and thought his acting was great, but the story was all over the place and just felt like most of the show was filler. It takes way too long for the leads to get together and then it's so brief that you nearly miss it.I loved the trauma they briefly brushed on for the male lead, but then they just kinda forgot about it. I guess he was magically cured offscreen or something. The female lead was great at times, but then felt overly rude towards the male lead when he was kind. Now he was a jerk a lot too, but they explain it at the very least, even though it still bothered me. Then the whole pretend to hate her thing was just really frustrating and takes a long time as well. This is why everything felt like filler.
The gay brother was terrible and completely selfish, all while calling his younger brother (the lead) selfish. They never fully explain the grandfather spending years basically ignoring and mistreating the Ji Han (the lead). They just briefly say a couple words at the end about it, so not enough. I was just frustrated by the whole thing and really wanted a refreshing take where they just run to each other and let the brother clean up his mess. he was fully prepared to do so, doesn't get to, and then does anyways and it's too late apparently. I hate kdrama plots like this.
The kdrama tropes were strong with this one that's all I'm saying, and it just felt like it was showcasing every trope in the book in one show. Terrible idea btw. And Moon Sang Min needs more lead roles, and just more roles. He did a great job with micro-expressions and I really appreciated his range of emotions. Also, I liked the grandpa for the most part and liked that he was way less awful than most are in these types of shows

Don't watch this for the story, watch it for the action
The storyline isn't great in this one, as many have said. And if you don't like gross, somewhat gory scenes, this isn't for you. That being said, I still had fun watching this and even watched a few parts again after it was over. I loved the main two guys (Ma Dong-Seok and Lee Jun-Young) and, to be fair, I turned it on after it showed up on my feed and I recognized Lee Jun-Young on the pic. They acting from these two was excellent and I understood their dynamic because of it. The young girl and grandma made sense with how they showed them, but the girl's acting was pretty terrible and 1 dimensional in this. I didn't believe much about her because of it. The army girl that shows up later did fine with her acting, but she didn't make sense and they made no effort to make her make sense. Her storyline is very much left out of this. I got the feeling the movie is from a webtoon or book because she just isn't really explained at all.Acting and story aside though, this movie is basically just an action flick and it does a great job with being that. I loved the fight scenes and really was swept into movie from it. I loved seeing them fight their way through each situation and the acting was great in these moments. So, if you're a fan of action and don't mind some gore and gruesome scenes, then this movie is for you. Enjoy!

Waste of Time
I really love Kim Young Dae and wanted to watch more shows with him, so I started this one, but it was simply terrible. I hated the female lead's character. She just did not work for me in this and I couldn't stand her acting style. Mostly it was the idea that she was a firefighter that was just pushing belief too far lol. I couldn't take it seriously.Every character in this show was incredibly weird and didn't make sense though. And then it ended so very badly and I just don't understand why it was even made. It just felt like a waste of space and time

Such an unrealistic and frustrating kdrama
I absolutely love Lee Junho's acting ever since seeing him in Just Between Lovers (Rain or Shine), but even his acting couldn't save this show for me, especially since I didn't even love his acting in this lol Spoilers ahead, though not big ones...I just could not with the way they handled the relationships in this show. They constantly show the FL having birthday parties and I get that it will mean something later, but it just makes me feel like all she has is birthdays and her friends are just set pieces, there to throw her a party constantly and talk about her hard life, while getting ignored themselves. It just doesn't feel like a friendship to me.
Then there's the ML and FL together and I need more info about the smiles and his issues because this drama moves molasses slow. It could not keep me interested. I wanted to get to the good stuff, but there was just so much pointless drivel getting in the way of anything meaningful.
I dropped the show the moment I saw a scene that asked for way too much bending of reality. I could not handle it. This woman falls off a freaking mountain ledge and lands like 15 feet down. She should be hurting bad, but it seems like a minor thing. She'll have to stay out on the mountain all the night in the cold mountain air and get hypothermia, but that's no biggie. She dropped her phone, so she's stranded. This guy manages to find her with her phone gps or something, but she's on a mountain guys, a mountain. Not gonna be that accurate nor, easy to find just where she is, but he does so easily, at night, in the rain, from a helicopter. Has them drop him, then proceeds to just jump off the side of the mountain she fell off of and land just fine beside her like 15-20 feet down. What?! Makes no sense! Anyways, I'm ranting quite a lot, but I could not take the stupidity of that scene and simple dropped it right then and there.
No idea where it goes from there, but, up until then it was so boring and unrealistic and they gave me no reason to care about the leads. The ML became pretty weak and wimpy looking in there several times and that's not my style, so I guess I was doomed to dislike this one anyways. Oh well, here's hoping the next Junho show will be great and he'll have a chance to play a character with depth again

This is hot garbage and the FL made me want to rip her hair out
I'm not normally one to drop a kdrama, but this show had it coming. What a terrible FL. I don't know if I've come across a more poorly written FL. She is the epitome of selfishness. Her needs must be met, and no one else's. They try to play her off as sympathetic and caring, but then show us how she constantly drops everything, and everyone, to chase down some killer all because she failed in the past. I get that losing her sister is absolutely terrible, and the weight of that guilt would be almost immeasurable, but if she's still gonna live in the world and be useful, she shouldn't take advantage of everyone around her to get through it.They show the ML going through so much because of his sick mother, but they don't show it like it really matters. It's a side note in the plot and not as important as anything going on with the FL. When the FL finds out, she's not even that upset or sad. It's still about her. She gets him suspended from his work for 3 months, knowing he's struggling financially, and she just steels herself and decides that's for the best since she's got someone to catch. Her lack of empathy is astounding. I'm disgusted by the writing of a "strong female lead" that's really just an absolute jerk that only thinks of herself and is arrogant enough to believe she can do things on her own.
The fact she hides everything she's doing and all the insubordinate actions she's making from the ML really grosses me out. She never leans on him and acts like she can do everything herself, but then she's actually incapable of doing that. This is a sad excuse for a kdrama, and it's definitely not up to the standard that I watch. I wanted to stomp this woman out lol. That's how much I can't stand her. The writers did a terrible job with this one. I'll have to see who they are and never watch anything else they work on.
All that aside, the ML had an interesting backstory and the emotions shown by KSH were great. I watched the show for this long for his character and acting. I just couldn't keep it up anymore, especially after he goes running back to her after all she's done to harm him and his career, with no remorse I might add. Have some self-respect, honestly. Anyways, unless you enjoy leads, where one runs all over the other, this one may not be for you. Ugh! What a waste of my time

Feelings So Far
I'm only on episode 3 and this story has definitely got me intrigued, but confused as well. The FL is too good for money apparently and would rather starve than have her work acknowledged and have a job. (She worked so hard for days just to say no to the money... What?) And the ML, while having a career and friends, is so very hung up on this FL that has only abandoned him and not treated him with the same love and respect that he treats her with. He's too passive and too attached and the FL is too selfish, cold, and demanding. The 2nd ML, who I didn't even realize was the 2nd lead at first, has me very intrigued. I never feel this way about 2nd leads and hate the idea of love triangles as a whole, but I'm interested in him. I want them to do a lot more with his character and to really develop the leads a lot more. This story needs a lot of work, but it's got potential so far.
The FL's relationship with her father is completely bizarre though. I need that explained asap. I also need them to explain the grandfather they killed off too. Like I don't even know who this guy is, why am I supposed to care that he died in this story. They haven't fully got me invested in these leads yet and I find that to be strange writing for a drama about them.
Anyways, I want to know more, and I'll be back to update this as I get further along. Here's hoping it's going to be a good one, because I need a good show right now. 6/10 tentatively (I hope it won't be down there long)
