As someone who hasn’t read the manhwa, I’m loving this series so far! I love the relationship between Heesu and his sisters and I love the side characters and romances. I just hope Heesu can drop his infatuation soon because it’ll get old if it drags on for the whole series.

Wow that may be the first time a BL trailer has ever made me tear up. This looks like it’ll be so good!

Did anyone else really struggle to get into this because of the age of the actors? It seems like a good series/movie, but unfortunately I don’t think I can suspend my disbelief enough to accept 30 year olds playing high school aged teens anymore 😞

I ended up dropping because I totally agree about Dohoe’s character arc. Also, totally agree about To My Star 2. How can you continue to root for a couple to end up together when one of the partners is just toxic and cruel?

I had never seen Nam Yoon Su act before - the only time I remember seeing him in anything was in an episode of I Live Alone a couple years ago. But now I feel like I need to watch everything he’s in. Such an incredible talent!

I’ve been enjoying this drama, but I’m on episode 3 now and I’m not sure if I can get past Jom snitching on Fong kaew like he did. It was such a horrible thing to do to someone who was obviously in a very precarious position. And the fact that he seemingly did it in part out of jealously makes it even worse.

Just watched him on I Live Alone. Apparently he is/was preparing for a role and now I need to know what and when we’ll see it 😭

The main thing that concerns me is the changes they made to the original storyline in the webtoon that align more with Jonghyun’s story. For example, originally the character goes back in time 6 years to an unstated year but in the drama it’s 15 years back to 2008 - which aligns with SHINee’s debut when Jonghyun was 19 like the character in the drama. That plus the premiere date being changed to his birthday makes it very suspicious.

Honestly it also just feels in poor taste to make a cutesy romance drama out of a story about an idol’s death. Even if there weren’t some suspicious details, the parallels to real idols who have died young are still clear.

The C-drama Reset is definitely up there and I love it for some of the same reasons I love Someday or One Day. They both handle sci-fi concepts that deal with time weirdness (time travel, time loops, etc.) extremely well! The other is Semantic Error, which is completely unrelated thematically but it’s a very well-written, well-made drama.

I’m not sure if I should have high expectations for A Time Called You or if that will leave me disappointed. I really want it to be good, but to me Someday or One Day was a nearly perfect drama - one of my top 3 of all time - and somehow I find it hard to imagine that the remake will be as brilliant.

I just finished episode 3 and I’m obsessed. Loving pretty much everything about this drama so far. It has a much different vibe from most Japanese BLs released recently. Definitely a gem among them.

Every time I look at this page and see the rating (currently 8.3 - previously 8.4) I’m like “HOW??” Like, in my opinion, this is one of the best BL dramas ever produced, and certainly the best Korean BL. There are some BLs that are much more contrived, cliché-ridden, and poorly-acted that are sitting at a comfortable 8.5+ here. This one actually has a cohesive story, strong character arcs, and solid acting across the board. And then I come here and see people saying they think it’s over rated and deserves an even LOWER score?? Did we watch the same thing???

Agreed! As much as I loved the series, the lack of closure for his character bothered me quite a bit, honestly, so that is one thing I hope they address in the remake.

I had no idea it was being remade and I honestly don't know how to feel about it. I love the original so much and I don't want the remake to overshadow it and make viewers less likely to watch/know about the original. It seems inevitable though, seeing as it's a K-drama set for release on Netflix. Trying to keep an open mind though, since I'm sure it will be well-made!

No. You kind of have to watch to understand how the character fits into the story, but I have to say - the character in question and his story really don't factor into the plot significantly.

Hate to disappoint, but honestly it doesn’t really. The one LGBT character appears for literally two minutes and is never really mentioned again in any significant way. You kind of have to watch to understand how he's connected to the story though. But I still definitely recommend watching it because it’s a truly excellent drama!

The only one I’ve seen here is ITSAY and I have to say that I really agree about Teh and his behavior. He was very manipulative early on and through both ITSAY and IPYTM he has the same pattern of bad behavior. It was why I was so confused to see people saying that his character was “ruined” in IPYTM and that the character was changed between the two. Like, nah, he was always like that. The problem is that he keeps getting undeserved second chances.

I drop dramas pretty frequently but often it’s before I even finish the first episode. Usually I can tell within the first twenty minutes or so whether something will be to my tastes. Although there are definitely some that take a bit to heat up, so that’s a good thing to keep in mind.
