I wish it had more focus on romance. This is a failure as a spy / hostage drama.
I think that having more romance than that for a "spy/hostage" drama, like you said, would be too much.. it's already pushing the limits of what is "acceptable" for a possible romance between a NK spy and SK hostage, (even though I want more too but the angst is good at least)
I'm surprised because I normally fast forward a lot of sageuk scenes (mainly due to political dialogues or characters that I don't care about), but this time I find the characters and pacing interesting, i'm a big fan of romance and don't really like cross dressing but here , even with minimal romantic scenes and the cross dressing being dragged out, i'm weirdly into it lol
