I LOVED IT!!!
This drama was so good, Not one boring episode ..Talking about the leads,
ML looks so gorgeous, half the time I was just staring at him.. CZY’s makeup was spot on.. like the boy is handsome but he looked the best in this drama, like the eye makeup, hair, clothes, aura matched so good esp with his character.. He was really strong, really loved the FL and it showed, no sacrificing drama, nothing. My heart dropped when he was nearly killed and buried.. I loved when he asked her to stay even after knowing he might forget her 👏🏼👏🏼
FL, omg I am so amazed by her acting, her character, everything… she was so strong and that is already a plus one in my book but she was one step ahead, I love when FLs unconditionally love the MLs.. like we see ML doing so much for FL but the energy is not matched many times but here she stood like a shield before ML, that scene where she dug out her buried lover, damn. she literally saved him and was his most valuable asset rather than a liability in every scene.. she never left him… (none of that sacrifice drama 😒)
Also, the plot was also really intriguing, though there were some loose ends, it was overall a great watch, one of the best of 2025.. I wanted to see some more of the HE, but oh well Chinese dramas and their rushed endings 🥲 and the side characters also played their character really well, the princess did a fab job in her role, her character was a bit infuriating but that goes to show how much well she played it
Also the BG music?!! And I am not just talking abt OST here, I am talking abt that music that played in every intense of emotional scene? That was the IT factor for me, it made those scenes so much intense and emotional and just WOW,
Overall, spectacular, a 10/10 drama for me

It’s a package
It’s a total package, there is everything from romance, drama, angst, story to comedy… and plz give me a moment to appreciate the visuals. The cast is so visually appealing like wow, HMH visuals are on a whole different dimension, obv even the side characters here are good looking, their costumes are so pretty…Now talking abt the leads ML is such a kind cutie, who, despite suffering from worse stuff is still so green flag coded.. like a separate drama can be made based on this sufferings alone but the pretty boy never let that shape his personality like SML turned villain did, his acting was as always spot on, every emotion is very well expressed and he is STUNNING, like I got lost in his looks time and again.
FL is such a versatile and pretty actress, she did complete justice to her character, I’ve watched her other dramas and she was spot on here. She matched HMH not just on visuals but acting and chemistry… talking abt the character, she annoys you at one point, trust me! when she just doesn’t tell the damn truth and going round and round with it but that is crucial for the revelations later so tolerate that part plz..
All the other characters also did really well, they did justice to their characters… Situ ling did amazingly well playing the obsessed sml turned villain, his character development was good.
All in all, real good drama, entertaining and be ready to be wowed with the visuals

Such a gem of a drama.. the way I immediately rewatched the drama after completing it.. my god, it was a drlight to watch this drama… also the way I didn’t want the drama to end like I was on ep 12 and was already whining that not much is left, why couldn’t it be long like costume dramas … so damn goodEveryone played their character so well, I’m amazed..
Talking abt the leads, their visuals? So easy on the eyes, such a good looking couple and one of the most beautiful chemistry hands down
ML was the epitome of green flag, despite the trauma, he was so damn kind and sweet even before he was in love.. but holy hell ML after being in love was something else, so damn loving… oh to be loved like that, sang zhi is so damn lucky …. Talking abt FL, she was damn spot on in her love… I love love love how being the younger one, she was more fierce than ML esp when it came to protecting him… like u can’t mess with her man, nope ….i love such female leads who puts equal effort and is equally protective of her love … I still can’t get over them, my new comfort drama, gonna rewatch it again and again

I read the novel coz I couldn’t let go of Lan Zhan and Wei ying. It’s been 5 yrs, and I find myself coming back to this drama again and again for that breath of fresh air.

Perfection!!I have no words to describe this perfection. It was perfect. Like I have rewatched a lot of dramas but for the first time I rewatched a drama right after finishing it. Right after episode 50, I watched it again coz it was THAT good. The plot, the acting, music, characters and mostly THE CHEMISTRY of the two leads was outstanding.

The BL we all wanted
This was sooo refreshing to watch… ohh I love when we have good looking male leads in a show and when these two are the couple, hell yeah ,,,, it was a very very good watch. I loved their sizzling chemistry, watching their journey of falling head over heels for each other was soooo endearing.. I melted into a puddle with how amazing they looked together.. everything was spot on.. they made it sooo natural, it was like being there with them and watching their love story…. Wow
While watching the show, I was like “oh it’s a good drama” but what made it sooooo memorable for me was how I didn’t want it to finish, I wanted to know more what happens in their future…. I loved itApart from the loopholes and some things I didn’t understand, what made this show so damn memorable to me was how I felt soooooo empty after this ended… only a few dramas make me feel that void after it ends and even some of my high rated dramas didn’t make me feel that but it was few of those dramas that made me feel so empty and made me look for the novel and I was so eager to know what happens next or if they get their deserved happy ending….
The cast was fantastic, I’ve seen Lanzhu in dashing youth and he was cute, good character but my god I never knew he was that good looking. I love when my handsome men get praised in the dramas cos beauty needs to be praised.. and the praises did him justice, he looked so good ..
Also a moment of silence for that chemistry between two male leads coz even though this was a sterilized, censored adaptation of BL, I could feel their chemistry oozing through the screen… those glances, those dialogues, the way they are always together, it felt sooooo natural ..many times in bl, the chemistry is so forced but here their chemistry was sooo natural , it felt so right to see them together and I wud have loved og BL script with these two, but I loved this version too… something abt these untitled, unnamed relationship in these adaptations makes u addicted coz u just want more and u can’t have it so it kind of makes u crave it and u end up being obsessed. All in all, I loved it
