Rocky start, but beautiful finish

The acting from the male leads was hilariously stiff for the first couple of episodes, but thankfully it got better with each episode.
Despite that, the story is quite compelling, and for such a short drama they manage to go over serious topics (first relationships, pressure of maintaining one’s reputation…); while still keeping the story cute and lighthearted.
Also the 2nd couple is a gem, they have great chemistry! I hope they get their own show too.

Beautifully filmed cute love story

A cute story about friendship, first love, and coming out of one's shell. It was a cute, comforting drama, without being too cringeworthy and unrealistic!
Loved the leads, but also their friend groups, very wholesome drama overall.
I liked that the pacing felt natural, the leads taking the time to figure their feelings out, while still communicating properly and being vulnerable.

So bad it’s actually almost good ?

This must have been the lowest of low budget lol. The sounds work is horrendous, there’s some plot holes and the story is presented in a convoluted manner that is unintentionally not in chronological order at times.

But I couldn’t stop watching, like we sometimes can’t stop ourselves from watching a car crash or bar brawl. The drama is short enough that it was fun to just hate watch it til the end.
Like, WTF are they doing in the classroom in broad daylight?
What’s with some of the chopped cuts and slow movements? And the the mediocre acting from the whole cast? 💀
Is the sub even enjoying himself? He’s always grunting in pain instead of moaning (or is that what the noises he makes supposed to be ?). And why does the Dom smiles like he’s stopping himself from bursting into laughter during the smut scenes ? And why do they kiss as if they’re trying to fight? 😂
Also don’t get me started on the non-accurate & non-consensual portrayal of a BDSM dynamic. No safe words, no soft and hard limits, no explicit consent, no aftercare… That’s an abusive relationship, not a BDSM one.

The leads have cute moments together tho, and the base concept of the plot is interesting and had potential. I also liked all the plants in the house this was filmed at. That’s about it.

I mainly watched this season 1 because I want to watch season 2 for the 3rd male lead, as I just watched another drama with that actor and found his acting pretty good. Plus S2 has a better rating than S1, which intrigued me, as it doesn’t happen often with sequels.

If you just let go of expectations and watch this drama as if it’s a spoof comedy of the “50 shades of gray” bdsm genre, then it’s actually a fun watch. I laughed the whole way trough at how bad and ridiculous it all was lol.

Cute filler drama, but feels incomplete - Mild spoilers ahead

So far it’s a pretty plain story.
The plot had potential, but the story evolves in a a way that feels slow and at the same time not doesn’t feel like we get enough content and background.
The preview for episode 7 looks promising tho, so maybe it gets better. I’ll update after finishing the series.

So far, I’d still recommend it as a lighthearted watch to pass the time or as filler in between dramas.

Edit: Completed the drama, and it does get more interesting after episode 7, but also ends too suddenly without explaining some of the plot points. Like, why does Dennis hate the Yudam so much? We can only make assumptions, such as, the mercenary that killed Dongbaek in a previous life looks like him. Also, in this present life, he seemed to have been in love with Yudam some years ago, but felt used; and now he fell for Dongbaek and feels like Yudam is using him too. Anyways, we’re just left reading between the lines with any tangible answers.

It was a cute quick watch, a nice filler drama. But not one I’d write home about.

The beauty of a simple and relatable story

Idk what exactly it is about this one, but a lot of the episodes had me shedding a tear or two. Maybe it’s its simplicity and realism that made it feel relatable. From Tuo’s lonely family and his resulting fear of abandonment, to Junxi’s insecurity and confusion as he processes his feelings, to the heartwarming childhood friendships. This overall simplicity and relatability are what touched me.
