Tbh Pit Babe never even felt like it needed a season 2 in the first place and now theyāre piling on so much stuff, Iām like... bring it on, I love the drama, but emotionally? Iām not attached to anyone in this season ( can't deny the fact milk is really good at doing his job neatly)š§š»āāļø
Like when I say "emotionally connected" I mean characters with actual depth, someone with roots, with a personality, with memory!? Half of them are out here acting like they got hit with amnesia or something like I literally feel like yelling, āBOY, DO YOU NOT REMEMBER WHAT YOU DID LAST SEASON??ā
Itās a mess, but Iām watching.. For science at this point, ah a chaos..
Babe once said "I can't just let you deal with everything on your own" to Charlie. Charlie trying so hard to get…
Yeah, maybe Babe really thought he could just charm his way through.. like he could "buy" willy off or something but willyās not someone you can deal with that easily... and now I know babe understood that enough still, what frustrates me the most is how off everything feels this season. Thereās no real depth to the dynamics anymore, everyone feels kind of hollow? I was watching and just felt⦠dumb, like nothingās clicking the way it should. Idk if it's just me or...
Now letās talk about babe... I seriously donāt understand whatās going on inside his head anymore. He keeps saying he loves Charlie so much, but his actions say something else. Every time Willy appears, Babe just... allows things to happen. I know babe dislikes willy, so why isnāt he ever saying a clear NO? man never once gives a firm boundary, and thatās so far from the babe i saw in Sn 1 (and especially the close proximity whenever willy babe- it's insane)
willy is clearly taking advantage of him, and yet Babe is also letting it happen... It feels like heās lost all the strength and boundaries that once defined him.
And then thereās PeteKenta. I genuinely felt bad for kenta in this episode. Iām not sure if itās a script issue or just how it was acted out, but Pete treats Kenta like he never even existed in his life... it's heartbreaking..
pete is such a layered character, and I feel like there was so much more that couldāve been explored emotionally.. but the show just ignored that potential... Including the actor maybe
still wondering what Chris is holding back.. loved him in S1, i hope he brings that fire again
Honestly, Pit Babe has always had the foundation for a rich, emotional story. Every character has depth, but this time, I couldnāt feel it. The emotional turbulence, the silent pain, the connections.. all of that was missing. What I got instead were just NC scenes with little to no emotional payoff. Thatās not what I signed up for.
Itās kinda disappointing that only one or two characters really felt emotionally grounded and the rest.. felt like hollow versions of what they could have been.. seriously a series like this deserves better character expression, because the story itself had so much potential
