ML is cute, stuck through this only for him (shallow I know). It’s a decent watch a bit silly on the scheming side or those who are doing the scheming. Love the ML. On to his other short dramas
I think it’s tempting because it’s an easy or quick way to get power, not because it’s more powerful, or I don’t think it should be made more powerful, that’s just my personal opinion though
Like you said??? And who are you? There’s nothing wrong with it because you’re saying so??? Like I said “personally” “for me” meaning that’s my personal opinion and how I felt while I was watching those two episodes and I’m entitled to that opinion and how it made me feel, that’s my experience and the feelings it’s stirred while watching, ain’t nobody’s gonna dictate to me otherwise
It’s not a problem, but for me it’s just a bit frustrating because they made it seem like both leads are clever strategists—so I expected some back and forth or at least some balance. But so far, it feels like the FL always comes out on top, and the ML just keeps flopping. It makes him seem less competent, like he’s constantly being outplayed. I don’t mind her having the upper hand (I love strong, smart FLs and I do like her character), but when it’s this one-sided (at least for these first two episodes) it kind of takes the tension out of their dynamic. It would’ve been nice to see him get a win too. Not the end of the world, but yeah, personally, I find it a bit annoying when it’s just one-sided
I mean since in the description it states “their clever strategies” meaning they both had clever strategies, a balance showing him at least getting an upper hand as well would be nice. It’s like watching a lead who is meant to be strong being beaten all the time, that, personally for me (in the context of being invested in the characters or drama) frustrates me. I understand they both leads but just balance it, even if it’s just a bit but then again I was only on episode two.
*sigh* that was beautiful. Didn’t want it to end but at the same time I did. 40 episodes is a lot, to even think we come from 50-60+ episodes era, don’t know how I did it, k-drama has spoilt me. Anyway I enjoyed this. I love love, I’m a sucker for romance, I’m a sucker for die hard nothing can separate us kind of love, no unnecessary misunderstandings that aren’t solved through lack of communication or separation between the two leads. Personally, I enjoyed the bit of the crime solving episodes of the side characters backstory and villages. The last few episodes dragged honestly and the dragging was unnecessary. The kiss on episode 34 wow was so packed with emotion. That black thing from the hidden strength triggered trypophobia, made my blood run. I still say, these two leads would make good leads for the Renegade Immortal donghua
If Renegade Immortal (Donghua) were to ever have a live action, I think these two leads would make good leads for that donghua. When Fan Yue’s voice goes low, it reminds me of Wang Lin’s voice in Renegade Immortal. It’s not just about the voice though. The way Al Rui Peng portrayed this character I feel like he could portray Wang Lin’s character well also.
