The ending was beautiful. Don't let the haters stop you from watching this wild ride of a show. If you want the ending you wish to have then reread the source material. This show in no way ruins anything. Repentance is a concept that is overlooked/overshadowed, by shallow meaningless plots in order to get dopamine hits, in recent modern TV. This story is wholesome, enduring, positive, and reflects on maybe there is something in our life that we can correct and make right had we been flexible enough to get over our ego.
