I was guessing it's the King because the last scene we see him was where he was just about to be attacked by the herb collector. The scene cut off at the right moment to incite tension in us but it also cut off too soon, indicating there is more to the footage (maybe the King actually defends himself). The drama has already done something similar with the kiss between So Yong and Byeong In in the stable.
Judging from the light heartedness of the drama, I don't think Lady Choi and Hong Yeon would actually die. Choi fell down but even on the last scene we see her, she is still relatively strong rather than looking like someone on the verge of death.
I agree with you as well. I actually like that they didn't go through the entire schtick of the King recovering from his fall (and the typical comedic scenes that ensue with such happenings).
Featuring less of the King also reinforces the emptiness So Bong is feeling as we as viewers are missing something from the show as well.
Not for me!! It would be so much better with more scenes of the King.
I personally disagree. Presenting us with less of the King also makes us viewers feel the emptiness So Bong is feeling right now,
Also, even if they did bring him back earlier in the episode, it would have dropped a lot of the tension as the only way for the writers to utilize him would have been to put him in comedic situations.
I think this episode sets up the tension nicely for the next episode as a whole.
I agree. I found it a bit suspicious that when the initial kissing scene between So Yong and him was cut a bit…
Yeah. Usually in KDrama, they show reactions of the 2 kissers right as the kiss ends. The first snippets just show the kissing and then cut back (makes it seem very much like a one sided narration from the cousin who thinks So Yong likes him but is falling for the King's tricks (which is very much not the truth).
I also don’t like how they made it seem like everyone was going to gather around like Min Chul said but ended up not delivering on that.
Regardless, this drama is still pretty good without many tedious parts.
Far angle one at first looked to go further and then the close up kick just stops right before.
