Zhou Yiwei and Yu Hewei are the best parts of this drama, I felt let down by the second half of the drama though, its very annoying that most of the political movements in the drama only happen because of the ridiculous number of men who will do anything so Wang Xuan will love them (a very tired and overused trope) and all the women either hate Wang Xuan and are villians or love her and become martyrs (another overused trope). Yu Hewei's character (Wang Lin) is my favourite character- he's politically astute, overly ambitious and unrepentantly brutal, he was a very interesting character and was still likeable even though he was a villian. Zhou Yiwei's performance as Xiao Qi is just class, he looks the part of a battle hardened general and he's able to portray a complex range of emotions even through the smallest of gestures. If you're looking for a plot that isnt frustrating and a female lead that doesnt regress in character development then stay away from this drama.
I hope the mother in law stop spoil her like that. That made her more annoying.Actually i found the mother in law…
I get you but tbh from MIL perspective, Shiyi worked together with Yuanniang to make Lianfang into a Concubine, so that Shiyi could be main wife when Yuanniang dies. Compare that to Lianfang who MIL, has known all her life and loves like a daughter because she is her niece. It's very likely that before Shiyi married into the Xu family, MIL had probably never seen or heard of Lianfang doing anything bad but her first impressions of Shiyi are that the she is manipulative, calculating and a schemer (because of Yuanniang's plan and Shiyi's supposed involvment), and now all these bad things are happening to Lianfang after Shiyi comes into the house. It's easy for the viewer to get frustrated because we see Lianfang planning these things and being evil but from MIL's view point, the person she likes (Lianfang) and has known all her life is all of a sudden having setbacks when the person she thinks is manipulative (Shiyi) is becoming favoured by Xu Lingyi. She's obviously going to think Shiyi is schemeing against Lianfang. Tbh MIL is probably going to keep supporting Lianfang until she is caught red-handed in a massive issue (I know if I was MIL I'd probaly be the same too).
I was rooting for this drama so much and then a little past the halfway mark I noticed something off, I decided to read the recaps of the drama and what I read disappointed me, your review has only just proved that if I want to have fond memories of the drama then I'll just assume it ends after ep 30
The drama has been grest so far, I'm up to date and I hope it retains it comedic tone all the way through out even with the political plots and shenanigans ramping up. I also really want a happying ending but idk if it will be given the history and how the chinese one ended
I REALLY WHISH THE REAL QUEEN WILL COMEBACK I FEEL SO BAD FOR HER ALL THE PEOPLE AROUND NO ONE CARED OF THE WAY…
I'm pretty sure her soul has not left her body because otherwise she'd be walking ans talking as him in the modern day but currently we know his body has been lying in hospital and he's currently in a vegetative state. Chef Jang has started remembering more and more about Soyong and is even started to have feelings for Cheoljong which he wouldn't have as a man attarcted to women unless Soyong's soul/spirit was still involved with him. When the series started we heard his internal monolouge in his (a man's) voice, now he thinks with Soyong's voice so their souls are still in the same body I think.
I'm not really a fan of either actor (tbh I dont think I've seen Park Eunbin in a drama before) but the plot sounds hilarious, I'd like to see it get made.
Mood Indigo is such a beautifully filmed drama, some scenes are like work of art. It is obvious that a lot of…
The chemistry between Kido and Rio was there but it wasnt romantic or anything of the sort, just purely sexual. For me, watching this certainly clarified a lot of Rio's behaviour in the first drama, he couldn't respond positively or openly to Kuzumi's intense attraction and adoration because he's was let down so harshly by Kido. I remember watching the pornographer and nearly pulling my hair out in frustration because Rio kept sabotaging his relationship with Kuzumi even though he clearly wanted Kuzumi just as much but after seeing how his relationship with Kido ended, I thought that it was probably because he didnt want to put himself in a position like that again.
I'm on ep15 and I'm really hating Taya's guts. I dont even know, his presence is just so annoying to me, like get the hell out of the way you're obstructing my otp. Him trying to propose to her on a billboard in traffic just seems so horrendous to me like why the fudge would you do that, if she wanted to say no everyone else watching would have thought she was heartless. I tend to dislike second leads out of principle because they are literally just obstacles however for some reason, he's really rubbing me the wrong way like I'm over his exsistence. Also not at the fact he knows Nid doesnt love him/ cant let go of her past but just keeps butting his unwanted self everywhere. Honestly, just shut up and go cry somewhere else with your stupid clingy sister, jeez.
i really wish they did more with ming and kit. i realllyyyy loved their couple!! this drama is a bit slow, the…
Watch season 2, the acting is so much better and chemistry between all the couples feels more real. Also, production itself is much better so no jarring sound or editing errors.
The acting and production in this is SOOO much better than series 1 that I'm not even mad that the 4 ep are a recap of S1. The only thing I miss about S1 is seeing Copter and that's about it
