I really hope you are right because from past BL series I've watched with a rape scene always get backlash from viewers. If episode 1 was a build up to episode 2 then that would make sense, but I just hope it's shot with a good intent without coming off the other way... I just need the next episodes now!!!

oh that makes sense... that's probably why they added that scene with Yi's father at the end of S1's finale... and the theory about Alpha would make sense too since their relationship started from De always trying to be the best to attract Yi's attention.. I just love this drama series, which is why I don't want this season to be ruined..

Wow, after all the theories I've ready today (because I needed something to help me understand the first episode better) I think yours might be the best one so far. This totally works well with their story in S1. I hope you're right because that will just make them getting back together that much more meaningful.

Okay I understand your theory, but another thing I don't understand is that in the special episode Shi De goes back after 2 years so why didn't anything happen then? It was expressed in S1 how much Shi De loved Shu Yi so I don't understand why they didn't see each other then and only saw each other 5 years later. Even though Shu Yi might have blocked Shi De on social media, he could've put in more effort by trying to reach out in person. I love the series too, so I really hope they can give us a very good explanation to what happened because the tangled web the writers decided to create for themselves will be a hard one to get out of. I do hope we get a S3 as well so let's all pray that S2 will be just as great, maybe more, as S1.

I agree about everything you said, especially about the communication, but imo I think it was actually Shu Yi that was delivering the right emotions for the character. He was acting exactly how I would act if Shi De did that to me. Shi De on the other hand was almost lifeless and didn't seem to show any remorse for doing what he did to Yi. The backstories need to come in the next couple episodes and not have them drag it out because it will definitely frustrate a lot of viewers. I'll be really sad if S2 doesn't continue the greatness that S1 delivered. Let's just hope for the best I guess...

My only worry for next week's episode is that it looks like Shi De will get very drunk and force himself on Shu Yi... Hmmm... The sex might be hot (which is one thing I look for in a BL), but I really hope it's done in a tasteful way and not in the realm of being rape... I really loved the first episode, even though it was really frustrating at times and my heart was literally breaking at some scenes... I really don't understand the reasons behind Shi De and Shu Yi not being able to communicate at all in a span of 5 years (that's just something unrealistic in this day and age). The first episode is a good example of how important communication between lovers really is. If they were just able to explain their reasons and talked it out, none of this would be happening... I get the why the writers are doing this, but at the same time I hope they don't jeopardize the character of Shi De just to create unnecessary drama to force a storyline... How do you go from loving someone at a very young age, to the point of almost stalking them, to suddenly not giving a fuck about them for 5 years? I really hope they give us the backstories in the next couple of episodes because I can already see the series becoming unbearable to watch.. Don't get me wrong: I love the series and the cast.. They're phenomenal and the story was great from S1 and SamYu just has the chemistry that makes the series one of the best imo... It would be just such a waste if they mess it up in S2. Anyways, I'm really excited for the next episodes to come, tho I'm a little anxious about it as well..

The show is great. If this is not your 'type' of BL series then you won't like it, but if you just want a soft and chill series to enjoy then this will be for you. We don't have to make everything so complex all the time. I'm really loving the sexual tension between the two leads. I find myself giggling at times and smiling like a fool, but I'm enjoying the series so far for what it is.

I'm so excited for this. This is giving me Because This Is My First Life and I'm here for it. Lee Min Ki is one of the most handsome Korean actors imo and I just love watching him in romantic comedy. I didn't watch The Lies Within because it was a bit too dark for me and I prefer him in light dramas. LMK oppa fighting!

Right! Of course I'm not saying that all other other countries are bad, but Korean BLs are just so much more special imo (also biased by the fact that I'm a huge fan of Kdramas).

Update: Just finished the first two episodes and I'm already loving the chemistry between the two leads. The visuals of the two leads are just so beautiful! I can't wait for the next episodes to come!!!

I'm already so excited for this. Korean BLs are just on a league of their own in terms of quality. I hope this will follow in the footsteps of To My Star, which has set a new standard for Korean BLs. I'm hoping this will lead to a new wave of Korean BLs to come.
