This series was absolutely amazing... I was nonstop crying that whole last episode. I highkey thought Tin was…
Ngl if Phop was really gone I'm okay with him pulling a romeo and juliet loll cus I honestly find it more tragic when one of them is left behind, as opposed to them dying together
Man, I loved this series. I feel like I can't move on. We suffered so much along with the main couple and finally got our ending.
However, I think they should've added one more episode, made it 12, to explain Phop's return and show everyone's fate; plus we need to see them happy for a bit longer in my opinion. After all those tears and suffering, we only get one scene?! My only complain is it being too short.
Usually, watching 10 or 12 episode series, I get bored and start skipping a lot of scenes, but here, I even rewinded to watch some scenes a few times. I loved their acting, and I felt bad for Ongsa since he had to cry so much! I'm sure his tears in this series alone could fill buckets! His doe eyes are extremely cute though, he stole my heart! And I loved Inn in his military attire, it suited him so well :)
I've also been a fan of Pond for a long time and watched quite a few of his series, and I was surprised to see him playing a villainous role this time, but he did it so well!
Inn and Ongsa's chemistry is so amazing, every glance made me shake in anticipation. I hope that this series becomes very popular and wins many awards, then maybe people will make more interesting historical BLs that we can enjoy!
I will probably not watch anything for a while, just to digest this series well. I'm sure it won't be one of those series that I forget in a week, and will stay in my heart forever. It was so good that I'm willing to suffer all over again by rewatching it, even though I do not have a habit of doing so.
I shipped Jantorn and Ruetaisiri so bad, it's a shame we didn't get to see them together, though. Maybe they're baiting us, maybe we can see them star in their own series one time. That would be nice!
I love the title of this series very much as well; if you think about it, they start off happily, and there is light, but soon enough, with their seperation, the sun sets, and night befalls them. Then it's a long and lonely night spanning many years, 11 years to be precise, and they meet again. Looking at the horizon, you can see the sun slowly rise, and the light comes back. But at the end of they day, it sets again, and their seperation is even worse in nature. We suffer much along them, witnessing tragic events on the way, and only in the end do they show us a glimpse of that sunrise once again; the one that they longed for, and maybe that's why the ending was so abrupt. They only wanted to show us the Edge of the Horizon, not the sun fully up. Not everything is fixed yet, there are still a lot of problems, but them getting back together gives us hope, a little sunlight, showing that everything will be better.
I shall recommend this series to anyone who wants to watch BL now. It's too good too be true ahhh my lord what will I do without them now? I hope they give InnOngsa a good series again next time, I'm their biggest fan now! And honestly I think the age-gap is not a big problem, I've seen bigger gaps than this. They are both young men and get along with each other, and that's all that matters.
Okay I admit it was beautiful and everything but can we have our 11 extra episodes now? ^-^
Omg what a surprise! I didn't go on mdl for a long time and when I do I see that this is finally airing! What a delight! I've wanted to watch a quality wlw romance lately :)
I just started watching this, and can I say, Charn's (Tin) expression is exactly what I envision when I think of a cunning and flirty character. He nailed it!! It really scratches my itch, usually other actors wouldn't be able to pull off such an expression as well as him.
Sadly, there is nothing very similar in terms of plot. But Reset the Series deals with a plot of revenge in showbiz and going back in time, if you're interested. Not exactly the same, but it's also one of my favourite dramas. But if you want other good dramas, you can check my list of my favorite bls on my profile, I love all of the dramas on there and would definitely recommend them if you like a nice plot!
This drama is really so good...The directing, the screenwriting, the acting... I'm not disappointed in this adaptation of Payback at all, usually when adapting something it's a hit or miss, you never know whether they'll ruin it or make it better, but this series is top-notch!! Also, seeing how Jay started flirting more after knowing Sun's identity, hehe it's so cute~
I also love that compared to the novel/manhwa, the series is way more tame, aka less dub-con, feels better ngl!
But are there enough episodes to end it like the original, or will there be a season 2? Let's see!~
I didn't watch the new episode until today on purpose, so ep 7 is tomorrow yay!!
It's my fault...why did I start this while it's ongoing? Since episode 1? Even if I read both the manhwa and the novel I still can't wait omg please help meeee TT
