Oh boy, next week looks like an exciting episode. Sher will kiss Prince, Fah will get jealous and Sher will hit Fah. Wonder what will happen after that. Maybe Sun will drop his apples and Rain will tell Payoo he should do his own thing. Wait, what? Lather, rinse, repeat. Yawn.
Anyone else think Nan is getting catfished by his friends? And I’m still not sure why Gun won’t tell Golf who he is. His complexion cleared up. And they obviously get along. What’s the issue? Other than to cause a misunderstanding and trust issue later.

I am enjoying it though. I usually hate body swaps since I don’t consider it a BL since, well, it’s really a guy and a girl. But this one has some good side characters that are BL, unrequited as they may be.
Prediction- Charlie will learn to love himself/herself to break the curse.
Is it just me or is anyone else getting a “Triage” vibe here? I feel like we’re in an endless loop. 7 episodes in and I think the same exact thing has happened in every episode.
Khim is nice to Sun and then is mean to him because he can’t properly express his feelings.
Rain tells Phayu to be free and then they stare at each other like they are going to devour each other. (Truly my favorite couple)
Pie goes after Khim only to be rejected.
Phet goes after Pie only to be rejected.
Baiboa stalks Phayu pining away sadly. (She’s gonna get sick from all the bbq)

That has happened in every single episode. I don’t think the story has progressed and it’s almost half over. I’m sure they’ll all get together in 14. Break up in 15 and get back together in 16 though so I’m not too worried. Although I have a bad feeling Khim and Rain’s parents are going to be held hostage by the real estate lady at their extremely secluded cottage in the middle of nowhere.
That having been said I actually like the show and am totally team Rain/Phayu.

Quite different but The Little Prince also has a sad ending - if the reader chooses to believe the snake killed the Prince rather then him returning to his home planet.
I’m hoping for a happy ending where Tofu ends up with Nut but they’re making it seem like if Tarn is to live then Tofu must return to being a teddy bear. The dilemma foreshadowed in The Little Prince - does he live or die? I choose to believe he will live. Hopefully irl with Nut but otherwise as a teddy bear. Either way he will end up with Nut.

Because I obsessed about this, I ended up reading the manga. It was really short - a very quick read. He did die of cancer. But it was @ 69 not 59 which made me feel a tiny tiny bit better because they had 10 more years together- but Yuki was still alone for 13 years. Great - now I’m crying again - thanks a lot!

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head again. These guys have an unspoken connection. They get each other - even if it sometimes takes a moment (and Mom’s approval). There’s more to their stares than meets the eye. I actually think the next episode will begin with a rewind, as they are want to do. We’ll see the favor Aek asked of Vich play out - my guess is setting up everyone to leave the restaurant early, leaving Aue alone to prepare the last order of the night for a special customer.
This is not your ordinary, run of the mill BL. As we can all see by the comments, it’s very divisive. I find it so amusing that what a lot of people are complaining about in this series is the exact thing the rest (of us) absolutely love about this series. It’s genius. I’ve watched every episode at least 3x (at normal speed). I literally am obsessed and addicted. And I don’t even consider it my favorite BL. Each character has surprised me in some way. I hate that because I’m usually good at figuring out what’s gonna happen - but strangely, I love it to too.

Look at Tale of 1000 Stars (which I loved too), 9-3/4 episodes about 2 actual gay guys gradually falling in love with each other (sound familiar?) and everyone loved it and was so excited to get the 2 kisses in the final segment of episode 10. I guess they all liked that better because Phupa and Tian talked faster. To each his own.
I’ve been silent on this show for the last 6 weeks but now that we’re at the mid point I feel the need to say something. I know I’m in the minority here but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this series. I love the endless staring into each other’s eyes. I love the long pauses. I love the slice of life outside of Bangkok. I love the lack of BL tropes (no trip and kisses, no washing down drunk people with damp towels, no evil ex girlfriends [but see below], no sissy squads, just to name a few). I love the food porn. This show puts me at ease. It relaxes me. It calms me. I find myself going back for seconds and thirds each week (at normal speed, tyvm)
To quote Aue talking to Aek about art at the opening of the gallery in ep 5: “To each his own. People appreciate things differently. It’s like in cooking. We cannot please everyone. No matter how hard we try to create.” Well the same can be said for BL’s.
What prompted me to write this post was the opening scene of ep 6. Finally we have a gay male lead character (dare I say gay lead characters) of a series. He’s gay. He knows he’s gay. He accepts that he’s gay. His mother knows and is ok with him being gay. He’s not an “I’m only gay for you” person. He doesn’t see the need to date or lead a girl on to pretend to fit into society. I must say I was nervous after the kiss from Eve in ep 5 but seeing Aue pull away from Eve’s attempted kiss and confession and telling her he sees her only as a friend assuaged my fears. Yes I know there have been other gay characters (Tharn/TT and Pete/LBC for example) but this is on another level (at least for me).
Yes I know we’ll see some drama and the ep 11 break up and ep 12 reconciliation- we’ve all seen the trailer and 2 OST videos- but I’m here for it all!
And for the record, this won’t beat out ITSAY as my all time favorite, but I am very much enjoying it. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll go back for another helping of ep 6 of Bite Me.

I’ll only watch Filipino BL’s with breakout musical numbers that don’t have crowing roosters! And the main couple is cute! I’m in.
Although I do find it odd that since his “father” is Filipino, Tagalog isn’t one of the 99 languages Art speaks. Suspension of disbelief back on.
