A Waste of A Gay Character
I am not continuing with thus series. Quite frankly it had so much potential but it's taking a slow route in my opinion.First the actors are fantastic but this is a straight story (which is fine) that's using a gay character as a prop. And again this is my opinion. The story is heavy handed on the straight story. A younger brother falling for his gay older brother's beard.
And the family dynamics of the first born children being jealous of their mother's other children.
Maybe I just don't get it. I was so thrilled to find a main character that was gay in a non BL series that would be given a story. However my patience is wearing thin.
Damn, too bad because these actors are pretty good. Maybe I will binge watch it after it's done if I find out the gay character was more fleshed out such as it is. As for now..no.
I hope I'm wrong but I despise series where the gay character is a prop and less of a useful character.

Real Life Age Gap yet...
My headline is for people who rated this series based on a dead fish kiss. These actors are practically 10 years apart and at the time of filming Tar was 17 now to me this not an issue but alot of people said they better not kiss (due to real life age difference) Tar was excellent in this series. He gave a solid performance as a teen newbie actor. He blew everyone in 2MTA out of the water. The story is simple yet complex. Noey is a high school gang leader stuck in the past. My take was he lost his father early in his life. His father was a gangster and he wanted to emulate him. He felt he needed to be the man of the house and take care of his mother and sister. He did this by instilling fear into everyone that dare cross his path. But in reality he was mush on the inside which is where he hid all of his feelings and emotions.
Until he met Thiwa. He fell hard for a college tutor but he couldn't show it so he came off as bully. He could really deny Thiwa nothing even though he wanted him to fear him. He created these feelings that Thiwa had for him while keeping his own feelings guarded and pursuing a girl that didn't want pursuing.
When he finally decided to be open he went full tilt. He showed his feelings in front of his gang, his mother, his sister and Thiwa's friends with no shame.
Noey was authentic. While Thiwa developed feelings as well he was left silent because he was falling for a young teen. It's like he felt it was wrong so he seemed indifferent. He basically allowed things to happen without participation.
These are just my take on this series.
At the end is where Thiwa's feelings showed. His parents behind his back called Noey and told him he had to future and to stay away from their son. Noey this pain and tells Thiwa he was nothing but a Pam replacement and he would go back to flirting with Pam. He did this for Thiwa as his own heart was breaking.
But in the end being true to himself and the words he spoke to Thiwa he pursued him and the truth came out. Noey became a better person. A better student. And a college graduate.
Saying I am worth it. I do have a future. And it's because of someone who took a chance and never gave up on me. And he asked for Thiwa's hand in marriage and herein is where the kiss came in. It was not a passionate kiss but the point was made.

Hot Actors Mediorce Writing Missed Opportunities
Okay first let me say I liked the concept. The actors were pretty decent but the story was all over the place. Frame is a new actor but I think he managed to give Zee and Sprite a different attitude that they seemed different enough. While Sprite had a goofy smile seemingly happy go lucky, Zee was always mean mugging and so cold and hateful except with Salmon.
It seemed they totally abused First as Sprite allowed Zee to continue to crush First' sprit. I loved First he was so soft and loving even when angry. I think First loved Zee even though Zee treated him like crap. So when Zee changed First was immediately into him even though it was Sprite.
I wish to have seen First in a room with both twins. One madly in love with him, the other that hated him. But this was a cliche BL but props to the actors foe pulling it off.
I hope to see Ryan (First) again. Although he also appears in FOR HIM. Same for Frame (Sprite/Zee) get this man a good BL and a good director and he will soar.

OHM, PHUWIN AND SATANG
This series disappointed me and seemed to not know where it was going. As a mega BL fan I watched because I support the actors I adore regardless if it is a BL or not. Phuwin as always is amazing. Ohm is a marvel. And though Satang was a replacement for Joong Archen he was the true stand out for me.Phuwin stands out for me regardless as does Ohm but this is a shoutout to the great Satang. He along with Phuwin and Ohm got me through a disappointing series.
Pity I had high hopes but again always great to see Phuwin, Ohm and Satang.

A Married Man Dumps His Young Male Lover
This short for me was pretty good. More or Less About A Taboo Relationship that one of the couple was having unbeknownst to the other.I think there was really feelings for both but neither wanted an open honest relationship. A man decides to spend one last night with his male lover before revealing that he is not only married but has a child on the way. Feeling like nothing more than a sex object the boy offers himself in anger to his lover before running off in despair. The married man moves on and his young lover has to accept it.

I Wanted A Bit More
This little engine that could did.A story of childhood friends that have not seen one another years and due to his mother a young man moves in with his "brother" as a way to save money as he charts his path in the world. He tries to find work but seems confused by his brother's possessiveness.
Feelings are a weird thing and even as kids we can bond with and remember a person being special to us even if at the time of childhood we don't really understand what it all means.
Their chemistry was understated but it was definitely there. Pity I don't know the actor playing the younger of the 2 as it is not on the MDL page but I loved him and his almost blank expressions. It was like a person afraid of what the world would do to his naivete.
And falling for his hyung was just sweet. I loved it.
The drunken kiss was regrettably hot. Especially the uncut version.

Didn't Quite Hit The Mark
I wanted to like this remake or adaptation so much. In fact when I heard about it I was super excited because I have a love hate relationship with MAME since in my opinion she destroyed LBC 2. I mean I held a grudge for quite a long time and refused to watch her material at all until Love in the Air. BossNoeul and FortPeat had an amazing chemistry. Now Japan is the inventor of Yaoi and I have so many Japanese BL Series that will always have my heart. So my expectations were high on this. No actors were bad per se in this remake but with the exception of NAGUMO SHOMA this series seemed completely mis-cast. A series with good actors yet bad casting are already at a lost in my opinion but since casting isn't my business I have to look past it and choose to watch or not to. I chose to watch.
I came to appreciate one more member of the cast in NAGATSUMA REO as Kai aka Sky. He brought a great attempt to understanding Kai and his struggles.
The NC scenes were a struggle for me. Fuma and Kai were basically okay but Arashi and Rei made me uncomfortable because Arashi like Phayu before him was passionate and kissed with tongue. BossNoeul made it work in incredible ways. However Rei seem to lie there with his mouth closed as Arashi licked his lips which almost seemed sexual assault like but Rei did manage to show enjoyment. Maybe it's just me, the chemistry was just off for me. However I did see the vision.
I give props for Japan adapting a MAME work but it did fall short. I do intend to rewatch and maybe form a different opinion which is why I gave the rewatch value a 10. If I somehow misinterpreted this I will update this review. That's just my take.

Useless But Okay.
Did it add anything to the existing episodes? NoWas it necessary? Absolutely Not
Was making a fellow classmate stalk them for material worth it? Nope.
Was seeing the gorgeous Takara and Super Smitten Taishin worth it? Absolutely Yes.
This wasn't Japan's best by any means but I liked the MC. They were sweet and sometimes that's all you need. Uncomplicated.
So no, this was no Cherry Magic, Kieta Hatsukoi, If It's With You or Our Dining Table yet it had it's own charm.
So one useless (SPECIAL EPISODE not SPINOFF) was worth less than 25 minutes of my time.
Not for everyone but we are all different people.

This Was Not BL..
First the positive. I liked the actors well most of them. But this story left the BL reservation when they turned in to a woman scorned story. Namning created a relationship with Ram in her mind. She felt entitled to seek revenge against Ram's boyfriend LukChub. This then became all about Namning and her revenge. Revenge She didn't deserve to take.Ram in all his promises to protect the fragile LukChub he allowed Namning to go free which allowed her to strike LukChub again which also cause hurt for Ram himself.
Plus there was very little affection between the couples. A true disappointment. But I loved the actor playing LukChub I'm all his innocence. But not a BL this is a tale of a woman scorned.

The Cho Boys didn't knock The Parks Or Lees Down
The Parks (SEMANTIC ERROR) and The Lees (OUR DATING SIM) are two couples with the same surnamed that serves BL Fandom 2 great series. Did The Cho Boys do the same? I'm afraid not but they have nothing to be ashamed of.So lets get right into it. This was an aggressive pursuer and equally aggressive resistor story and those stories are not for everyone. However that story changed quickly to one of mutual fondness.
We have the Team Leader who has a lot of baggage in his past of because of that he cut himself off from the world of love and dating and opting for a life of samples. Meeting men on apps going out with them once and then deleting them as if it was a sample in a warehouse club. Samples aren't there to fulfill but just to get a taste and its no way to live.
So in this vain the aggressive pursuer angle works to a certain degree because it pulled the team leader to get out of his own way. And aren't we glad he did. Team Leader had baggage with an ex that made him feel worthless. Like he wasn't enough so he adopted a lifestyle of one and done date wise.
HaRam gave the team leader the confidence to realize that one bad apple shouldn't leave you living an incomplete life. He gave the team leader a chance to confront his past and to move passed it. The past included a ego maniac that dumped the team leader by text after using him to make his modeling dreams come true. So allowing Team Leader to choose the restaurant and pouring that wine glass contents over his head and walking away with his head held high. Could have been better but the point was clear just as their DATE MATE scenario was coming to it's end and they officially became boyfriends. And the last kiss was nice.
So inclusion was it a great BL, no. But it was damn good. So not in my Top 10 but yet I have an appreciation for the story told. So Good Job Cho Boys.

Sad Short Film but Better Than Expected
I found this film very endearing. A special friendship that meant the world to both men.The always remembering Ku's birthday and trying to make it special. That was heartwarming as Ku didn't feel he had anyone that loved him. His feelings for his friend was lovely. This doesn't end happily but I was okay with that because the love between the two of them was solid.
They never spoke of their feelings and yes Ku died but his friend and one time lover showed after a time jump that he loved Ku.

I like Billy & Babe Yet I Miss Seng
This is not a bad series quite the contrary in fact. It does suffer from a storyline that is all over the place. As a huge fan of Saint since Love By Chance, I want to support his every action but this has to end for me. I can't continue on with this. I like Babe but I look at him and his adorable handsome face and all I can think of is Seng.
I may be alone but I love the dynamic of BILLYSENG when they brought to life Nuea and Toh in SCOY so Babe seems like an interloper.
In addition why does Billy lead all of IDOL FACTORY's BL's which is only 2 but why not give Heng a chance to lead a BL or even Surprise. Everyone seems to take a backseat to Billy.
Please dont get me wrong Billy is gorgeous and talented like MIX of GMMTV but the difference is GMMTV have different male leads in BL. Yes IDOL FACTORY is not as vast as GMMTV but it could be much better than GMMTV if it uses it talent pool besides Billy.
Seng has BL coming out soon and I look so forward to seeing him again, he has that special something like Saint did in Love By Chance. Like Saint he is an immense talent and he brings out the best in his co-stars. Perth was already great on his on but working with Saint made him shine that much brighter and Seng did that for Billy in SCOY.
So fans of The Sign please enjoy I look forward to reading your positive reviews at the end but my journey has to end before the ending. And here's hoping IDOL FACTORY comes back with another fascinating BL soon.

I am not a fan of Boss AT ALL
I think this had a great premise with a great chance to soar but I couldn't really enjoy it the way I wanted because of Boss. This is my personal opinion but I have zero respect for anyone that took part in 2 Moons The Ambassador and that awful company known as Motive Village. And Boss was apart of that pathetic cast and the Finale of the 2 Moons Trilogy. I didn't notice it was him right away but when I did was somewhat invested in the story.Sadly Boss was also apart of my favorite Thai BL by Mandee YOUR SKY but thankfully he wasn't playing a significant part.
As for this story it was mildly entertaining but I will never lay eyes on it again. I truly hope I never see Boss in anything again.

Starting with A Rape and Nonkul So I'll Stop Now. No Thanks
First of all I'm not a fan of Nonkul and I thought I could overlook him for Earth and Pod and the rest of the talent pool this dramedy offers but...A inebriated person cannot consent to sex even if they initiate it. It is up to the sober person to do the right thing and since that sober person is played by Nonkul I can't go on even for Earth and Pod.
So by having sex with Yin while she was drunk is clearly sexual assault and even in some plot twist this did not happen I don't care. Im over this crap. So with Episode 2 I gladly end any interest in this series but I will say this
Not a fan of the drunken sex thing regardless I could overlook it if GMMTV would have used one of the plethora of young men in their midst. Nanon, Ohm, Joong, Dunk, Pond, Nani, Dew, Kay, AJ or JJ I could go on to play Shane I would stick it out but because it's Nonkul I'm done. I'm sure the series will be a success but I really can't.

Adequate Not Mind Blowing
This is the simplest of stories and oh so predictable.I am not an OhmNanon fan because though I loved Bad Buddy and Ohm's chemistry with Nanon as a whole. I don't get their fanbase being so into them as a ship because Ohm is a serial shipper. He has never worked with the same actor more than once aside from Toey (MAKE IT RIGHT and its sequels) and Nanon if you count Vice Versa and Our Skyy 2. But Vice Versa wasnt their BL per se. That was technically JIMMYSEA.
In 2019 Ohm did a move called Dew The Movie in which his partner was Nont and I loved the movie though it was sad.
Make it Right came before Dew The Movie.
He went on to He's Coming To Me with Singto (also 2019) The Shipper (2020) and then Bad Buddy (2021) and sorta reunited with Nanon for Vice Versa (2022) and Our Skyy 2 (Bad Buddy Revisit) so technically they did work together again before the epic blowout that quickly ended their "ship" or whatever.
Then Ohm went non BL with 10 Years Ticket, Double Savage, Wednesday Club and My Precious.
And that brings us to OhmLeng and Kidnap: The Series his foray back to BL. Do they have chemistry (sure) Ohm has no problem with chemistry in most cases but the story is lackluster for me but it's not terrible. A non high school, non university BL is good. Yet I won't ship OhmLeng until they do at least 1 more series playing different characters like other GMMTV ships like EARTHMIX, JIMMYSEA, PONDPHUWIN, GEMINIFOURTH and so on.
Ohm is a serial partner switcher and has chemistry with all his past partners and it's no different with Leng but will it continue or does a slew of non BL series follow again. Either way Ohm is always watchable.
Not much of a review for Kidnap The Series so I'll conclude with this. Sure it's worth the watch at least once,
