Why do they have name like English words: Win, Team, Dean, Don, Day ,Dew.
I'm not entirely sure but I know Thai people have "nicknames" that are usually English words, and that they still have names that they use in documents and other stuff. People tend to go by their nicknames (some nicknames are related to their first name but a lot of the times they are not). This might be because they are easier to use or there might be history behind nicknames (I think I read somewhere that there is but I'm not sure so I won't make any claims). They might be legally required or something too, because like everyone has them (and I read that somewhere too, lol ?). If your still curious then I think Google might be of better use than me.
