I'm enjoying the hell out of this show, so please understand when I say this show is trashy, in a good way. The writing is terrible. The plots make no sense. And the acting is terrible. And I'm eating it up. I can't wait until tomorrow.
I've finished watching and I have changed my mind about something.
The episode 11 kiss that we all waited for and loved. On second viewing, he does nothing. She runs to him. She kisses him. He barely kisses her back. I know he wanted her to come to him, but at this point in the show, he should have been moving towards her and he should have been leaning in for the kiss. He did, but barely.
Then in episode 12, they're acting like 2 preteens who like each other, doing side hugs, and stealing her diary, so she jumps on his back to get it back. I'm not getting "30 year olds in love" from their relationship.
At that point, I was almost hoping Kiho would say that he feels like her big brother, and that it's Okay for her to date Woo-Hak. I was actually as disappointed as Woo-hak when she asked Woo-hak if he could be her brother. I'm glad he said, "No."
So, as much as I loved this show, I'm disappointed in the romance part. I know romance was not a big part of this show, but I wanted at least some after 15 years of pining for each other. They're not teenagers any more. They're not even twenty somethings. They're in their 30s.
I agree with you 100%, but i also have to add, they had no chemistry whatsoever as a couple! They were both amazing…
I also felt like Kiho and Mok-Ha seemed more like best friends with common trauma/drama background, and I kept expecting Kiho to tell Woo-Hak that Woo-Hak could date her.
I'm glad it had a happy ending, and that some of my predictions came true, but I'm still rather disappointed in the last episode.
1. What about the insurance policies? It's like Chekov's Gun. Don't hang a gun on the wall of the theatre set if it's not used to shoot someone in Act 3. The insurance policies were mentioned several times, and they don't even get a mention after Bad Dad dies. UPDATE: Thanks fellow fans. I forgot that Bad Dad's ashes were put away as "Died without friends or family." Even if the suicide did not negate the insurance policy, the fact that he had not "family" means, the beneficiaries wouldn't collect. And I agree, the boys wouldn't want that money anyway
2. Thank you for saving Good Dad and having them marry, but where's the new marriage photo? We just saw them filling out forms to register their marriange. Did I miss a new photo on the wall?
3. Pres. Lee got off too easy. And what about those shares? And the shredded invoice? I feel like the writers dropped the ball on this plot line.
4. I wanted more romance between Kiho and Mok-Ha, not just a side hug.
5. Good on Woo-Hak for taking the high road.
6. I really wanted the 3 singers to team up. They treated Mo-Rae like shit, when she was being nice.
7. We didn't get Mok-Ha's big moment until the final scene. I really wanted more than that, and earlier. But I'm glad Kiho is up in the booth for her.
8. Dream Us was the best song. I felt like all the songs that came after were a bit of a let down.
9. When Mok-ha is telling Kiho about everything she knew about him, I wanted her to mention him buying her new shoes after she was saved.
I have THOUGHTS about what I want to happen in the last episode.
1. Good Dad better live. If Good Dad dies, I riot!
2. Bad Dad better die, preferably while being arrested for attempted murder. Then a divorce won't be necessary.
3. All those insurance policies that Bad Dad took out with his sons as beneficiaries better pay off big time, since the Kang family don't have jobs right now. Why even take out those policies if they're not a big plot point?
4. Kiho and Mok-ha better marry, or at least move in together, in the upstairs apartment. Or her apartment, and Woo-hak gets the upstairs apt.
5. Mok-ha hires the entire Kang family. Mom and Dad do her hair and makeup, and Kiho does the engineering for the live shows. Woo-hak does the publicity.
6. Ran-Joo gets her share of the RnJ company and Pres. Lee is kicked out.
7. Ran-Joo adopts Mok-ha as her daughter.
8. Can someone just throw Mo-Rae and Woo-Hak together? The boy deserves his own Diva.
3. Madame Ju berating her eldest son for killing someone, I'm guessing he ran over someone. Then she berates some other adult for killing someone, and says the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The adult grandson? Or is psycho plastic face killer her son's illegitimate son?
track is great, plot is great, but why did Sok Mok ha have to join that man's agency
THIS!!!! After the crap that President Lee gave Ran Joo, I'm surprised she didn't go with Sugar Agency or ANY of the dozens of other agencies that wanted her. She's got to know that Lee will try to screw her over.
