A perfect English translation of a Chinese novel is one of the rarest things to find sometimes I don’t even find a translation at all I usually come up empty so I don’t even try anymore but based on the trailer and everyone on different platforms calling it a step sibling romance I assumed that they are related I’ve already taken it off my ptw and was gonna move on I was just frustrated and needed to rant a little bc this has happened so many times this year and it didn’t help that there was a drought for 2 months with not much to watch

why do they always wait until the last minute to announce that the leads have familial ties? the synopsis be vague asf on the relation and there be no “step siblings leads” or “cousins romance” or whatever tags only other way to know is to read the novel but most watchers don’t know the novel or can’t find the novel or to be multilingual and follow closely on Chinese social media like weibo so many times this year I’ve been disappointed waiting a long time for a drama to come out just for them to reveal that the leads are related in the trailer or when the drama releases I’m tired 🫩

oh so its not just me I think its where they pulled the video from usually they take it from the official source but I think they took it from a fan subber or something this time bc I’m seeing alot of promos and QR codes in the later episodes hopefully this doesn’t last the entire series bc I ain’t got the money for a youku subscription Imma use prolly 5 times a year
