Episode 3 has been the best so far and I'm actually looking forward to episode 4. I'll be honest, I almost dropped the show after the first episode because it was soooo hard to get through. Took me two tries to finally finish it and I wasn't sure if I'd continue the series. Feeling more optimistic for the show after three episodes so if you're like me (and lots of others) don't give up after episode 1 - it gets better and less obnoxious.
I think the problem was the characters were shallow and their behavior didn't make emotional sense. In the final…
I do agree, I think the show relied heavily on tropes. The part at the end where Mahiro was mad, I took that as he was just upset and angry because he had emotionally prepared for the opposite and was frustrated with the whole scenario going differently than planned. But that was just how I viewed it so it made sense to me that way. (Maybe because I've also acted that way when I should have been happy just because I planned for the worst 😅). Tropes and all though, I still personally enjoyed it. It Was more of a fluff show though... and if someone were looking for something deeper, I'm sure they'd be disappointed.

I'm genuinely confused by the hate on this show. I actually really enjoyed it and looked forward to the next episode. Maybe because I binged it and watched everything consecutively? Was it the best I've ever seen? Certainly not ... But it was a solid story and the cinematography was done well. I'd give it an 8/10. It was worth watching.
I did start to feel like the "naked dining" aspect from the beginning was more of a hook to get the audience because it wasn't really in a majority of the show, but they tied it in nicely at the end and it all made sense then.
Been loving this series! Up until episode nine.... Not even that the show's story went bad... Just ep 9 was a mess. Poor editing and lack of consistency. Like we went from just finding out Ae was pregnant to apparently 9 months passing and her giving birth on a bus. But at the same time it had been a month and Jane finally left... I was even confused when Pat took a day off and then apparently another... It seemed like all one day at first. Hoping the next episode is back on track like the rest of the series because I'm really enjoying the story and episodes 1-8 were great. I just don't understand what happened with the editing/writing in this one... It was odd.
I'm finishing episode 4 and I just am having a hard time getting into this show. It's the acting... The Cher character is so cringe. He's too over the top and infantized... Like when he stays the night and gets drunk and is jumping and dancing on the couch? Who does that!? I'd be like sit the f@#& down! You're not 5! He's obnoxious.
It wasn't a bad ending.... Just a bit ehhhh. Like it didn't feel good or bad and I wanted the show to just be over. There's a second season in the making and honestly I probably won't watch it.
In the beginning I felt like it was a decent show, but by the last episode I just wanted to be done watching it. Somehow it got painfully slow and boring.
