Oh it’s possible you will always like just one version when something is made once again. My problem is the drama synchronization and lacking engaging rhythms, nothing was right after I tried to watch. Terrible storytelling and non impactful actors. It was like watching an awkward play being played out lol. I still lasted 8 episodes and a half after i had to force believing it gets better ugh.

The Double is a good entertainment especially during this year drought. But honestly, it's not the romance that captivated me but rather Duke Su alone haha. It is an drama to watch for fun divertissement not for romance.

Tell me how you manage to watch The Legend of Heroes, it's so boring and flat. LBFAD take time in the start to get to indeed but turn out good be patient.

Yes, I thought about reading the novel ending when I have time. Scriptwriter take pleasure to make you bitter with their ending. It's just annoying when it’s happened a lot for cdrama. I should be used to but i refuse to get used to lol 💀

I agree with you, i wish they didn’t give us anything else than giving us bs. The ending you wish for sure would be ideal, no doubt. I can’t find any positivity on spending your existence to be forever stuck in a virtual reality to be happy. Did they think we were going to be stunned, yes from frustration indeed 🙄

Haha true about the wolf and Goodbye my Princess starting pretty and turning toxic and dark fast but i think they deserving for the complete ride. Oh yeah cdrama compared to Kdrama tend to have lot of episode though many are really enjoyable, you just need to be patient when you watch. No worry about The legend of Shen li even with comedy addition is still serious drama with a real mature couple. I see, you want more serious and twists historical costume maybe the one without too much fantasy content try something like Love like the Galaxy, Story of kunning palace, Qing Qing Zi Jin, My sassy princess, A familiar stranger, Destined, The rise of phoenixes, The rebel Princess, Under the power, My heroic husband, A dream of splendor, The ingenious one.

The trailer already hurts me and saddened a lot. My XL is litteraly in perpetual pain more than ever omfg, Xuan and Xiayao looking distressed, depressed and falling out for good. I'm not ready for the pain to comes. I wonder after this season 2, how many months it will take me to recover from it before watching anything 😭

The legend of shen Li, although it is a xianxia has its own different path. It is much more based on the romance between the two main leads than many other plots around. The slow-burn is just magnificent and build-up alongside an incredible emotional setting. The special touch is this great addition of comedy and its flow. The characters are interesting to understand and complement each other perfectly. The two main leads are rather powerful, so in terms of action you will be served. The actors are great in the portrait of their roles. The cinematography which is rather between soothing for an arc, turn cool in cgi for another is worth the detour. The Osts are just catchy and original, matching the story. Then, along the way, other characters may end up pleasing you. I think it is even an ideal xianxia for beginners in this genre. Maybe you don’t like too much angst and Shen li is def good from the patterns. You can always try, personally I did not like Ashes of love either and other xianxia but I still like this genre.

You should try or pass watching A journey to love, Goodbye my princess, One and only or The wolf) although political wuxia but pretty good you have The long ballad and Who rules the world. For non-political focus Wuxia, you should try My journey to you, Ever night(just the first season), I am nobody,
Word of honor, The untamed, The blood of youth, Side story of fox volants, Mysterious lotus casebook, Ancient detective, Sword snow stride. I recommend you trying Fight break sphere, Douluo continent which are pretty decent for someone starting in cdrama or wuxia genre and maybe The legend of the condor heroes. For xianxia maybe try something like The Starry love, The legends, Love you seven times or Back from the brink. They’re pretty light one from the ones i watched and it could be okay when starting xianxia genre.

Yes, probably, but it would be the least do to start the firsts episodes without rush at least. We already lose or have no rhythm from the start. Transitions are tasteless living no depth sorry. I don't know what they wanted to do but i didn’t get sold. That been said no worry if you enjoy like this. It is my personal watch problem.

Xiaoshi is kinda like this in donghua too, he is ultra empathetic and comes across impulsive when wanting to do goodwill. He’s going to change the past despite LG's warnings about the consequences of this alteration. He's going to interfere more in the future but gonna learn it the hard way why he shouldn't do that at some point. Although I don't know if we'll get there fast to his growth. You're probably going to keep dislike it but be patient for the ride lol.

I agree with you, he’s not CX the way i imagined him from watching the donghua. They probably cast him because he had to convince to play the fun, childlike, shortsighted and reckless side of Xiaoshi character. CX is supposed to be the main character, even in the story no wonder he’s the main and not BWJ. Also BWJ actually fits a bit more LG from apparence and personality depict. I couldn’t see him playing CX. He’s supposed to be smart, calm, collected and you can definitely find okay.
About JL, i remember this actor in tiger and crane trying so hard to be funny and playful when he wasn’t and he’s doing the same here trying again. Not much about his acting change from what i saw. Honestly, i dropped tiger and crane after finding everyone plain boring too.
