He’s “Wang” Zhang Hai, he’s quoted throughout the novels.
I posted several pages below my theory, he's more likely to be in the Zhang clan than Wang clan. Anyway the producer said yesterday during an interview that Zang Hai's name was inspired from a famous chinese poem and has nothing to see with the novel.

He cannot be Wang ZangHai, Wang Zanghai invented the copper fish bracelet that is giving access to the tombs and the forbidden knowledge, we've seen that bracelet already exists as Kuai Dou literally stole it from the altar, being the reason why his family has been wiped out... His son could not invent something his dad robbed...
Yes they did the surgery on the child and for other things you'll have to watch the episodes as the masters story…
That was necessary, he will grow up and could resemble one or both parents so his enemies might recognize him. About the rest, you can read more comments, we had some spoiler discussions through ought the airing of the episodes with theories of who these people training Zang Hai might be.
We are doing a tour, starting in Beijing and going on a tour to visit the major cities like Chongqing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and up to Xinjiang probably Urumchi if time allows.
It seems like it BUT no body no crime lol. I am hoping he didn't kill himself and it is just a fake out or something.…
No, you got that wrong. Remember when the masked man came to save Zang Hai from the fire, he told him his father already arranged for him before hand to come and take him away, but he came too late so that's why he managed to only save him and not the rest of the clan. The dad probably used the ghost seal which he took from the collapsed altar (and for which the marquis killed his family), to command the undead soldiers and ask them to train his son and make him take revenge. When the master fulfilled his mission, he had no more reason to remain there so he turned back dead. That's what I get from watching several times the first episodes and connecting the dots. All this is coming from looking into the lore what those items inside the collapsed altar were and what are their purpose in the book.
Coming from weibo after watching some funny interactions between actors, quite funny and also lovely to see the cast getting along so well, refreshing.
Don't worry it'll increase. It's just starting, everyone should rating
Every xiao zhan drama is the same and every time I watch something people always say "don't worry will increase" but then it always go downwards... The haters have no rest man, is sad and pathetic to see, because I see dramas with awful plot and insignificant actors getting 8.9 from the start and nobody is questioning... But whatever.
I just booked my travel reservation for China 2 days ago, I've been dreaming to visit for so long, I now can finally fulfil my dream. Gonna stay for a couple of weeks with my bf. I'm really hyped! Wishing you gl to one day reach yours too.
so far the thing that it did not like is how easy it was for him to get close to them, it was such a lazy writing,…
How was that easy? he was sent to the capital in purpose before his time of training has ended, just because of the dowager's death and the huge opportunity to take advantage of the tomb situation, because the Marquis was in a tight spot with the two women coffins and they knew that was his chance. There were more than 80 geomancers and feng shui masters killed because they were unable or unwilling to solve the tomb's quest, they were so desperate to find someone that they started grabbing normal peasants for the job... He took full advantage of the situation, he clearly knew what he was going through, he also risked his life doing so, how can you call that easy? Sometimes I'm wondering if ppl are watching the same show as me or you just skip too much...
I am not a fan (neither an anti-fan), but why does he have so many haters? I don't think he has done anything…
Yeah I'm just a casual c-drama fan too, he is a good actor and a great person from what I have read about him. His haters in the beginning were mostly coming from one specific fandom, who worked themselves hard and so extensively to ruin his image that he was almost cancelled from c-ent. He didn't budged though so this made him become a sort of legend and hard to overcome as popularity for many years, which induced fandoms of other actors to join in the bullying just to bring him down and have their fave occupying his place. But the man really don't deserve any of this, and tbh sometimes I don't even feel like checking his works because I'm getting frustrated to see how badly he's treated and makes me furious. I rather stay away or watch something else, which is unfair for the actor and his co-workers.
I saw below you all jumped on one. Here we go again folks with the antis. Just ignore them. DO NOT RESPOND. They…
Actually, having them talking in the comments is beneficial for the drama's traffic end exposition, doesn't matter if we agree or not with the stupidities they say, but even if you ignore them and block them, wouldn't change the fact that these people are downrating an amazing work and the mods can't be bothered to keep them in check... Such pity.
Geezee Xiao Zhan is really pitiful, I feel truly sorry for him... It's been 6 years since the Untamed, his haters are still as active as ever, the man really can't catch a breath. Makes you wonder what kind of people are these disturbed nutcases to carry such a long, meaningless and empty hatred for someone they probably never seen. Oh well... I really enjoy this drama, would be such a pity to see it downrated as most of his other works, that 9 on the Untamed is an eye opener, if you know what I mean...
