When you put it that way, it does completely make sense. I did warm up to him in the end if I'm being honest. Old habits do die hard though because you're right in saying he kept everything to himself, I feel like if he was a bit more open with BQ, there would not be so many uncountable misunderstandings.

Don't get me wrong, Ye Hua is a baby boy but I feel like Mo Yuan would have been the best and realest lover for Bai Qian. Based on what I saw in the early episodes he would have always protected her with everything he had, whereas Ye Hua was restricted and cowardly in the way he 'protected' her, especially when she was Su Su. Mo Yuan would never let it get to the point of taking her eyes as punishment even though he knew she wasn't in the wrong. I feel like Ye Hua was more protective of BQ as a Lotus flower tbh. I just hope Mo Yuan gets another chance at happiness, all the men in Bai Qian's life were really jealous of a him when he was asleep.
