Money is the answer! When a show is on YouTube they don't make very much as YT have squeezed the returns on monetized videos quite a lot over the past few years. So now they go to streaming services where they can often strike a better deal, especially with shows they know will be popular. However, as Timmy said below, this can be risky as it gradually pushes folk into seeking out other ways to view including piracy.

It's also showing on Viki but is apparently not available in my country (UK) so I don't know where I'm supposed to be able to watch it!

It's available on YT for most countries - except Canada, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and United States, who have other providers. For the US and Canada it will be on iQIYI.

YouTube has been banned in China since 2009, but there are other places ppl can go to see danmei shows such as BiliBili and Youku. It's also illegal to use a VPN in China but apparently that hasn't stopped their use, so I guess ppl can watch YT that way.

Considering that this starts tomorrow, is there still no official synopsis yet (apart from the poster tag line) or details of the full cast and director?

Its international platform died but it still exists as a local outlet in Taiwan and Japan (and possibly some other places in SE Asia)

According to the new posters, this series looks like it has had a major cast overhaul, too. Of the featured list here on MDL, only four of those names appear on the posters, which now looks like it will feature 'Haunted Hearts' Mac Alonzo and Larence Brenches as the main couple with Ivan Cojuangco and Ethan Aguilar as the side couple.

It's because GMMTV are gradually selling international rights to their past shows to the pay platforms. 'Bad Buddy' is now on Rakuten Viki, although a VPN set to Thailand will probably still work for YT.
