I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the era. I don't think it was a problem to marry a half-sibling during that time. You can search more about it, but this is a historical drama so you may spoil yourself some parts.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought he met his wife after meeting Joon Yeong's mother, or at least that's how the uncle made it sound. I hope they explain it at some point.

Never trust the perfect character in a drama, they always have something to hide.

Ever since the officer character appeared I've had the feeling that he killed Soon Ae. Maybe that's why she can't remember how she died. Since she was in love with him she probably had a huge shock and that's why she could remember anything before. Perhaps the real reason she can't move on has to do with these rather her dying a virgin.
Well, it is very clear at this point that the officer is hiding something dark. I'm not sure if he is really evil or was possessed. Guess we'll have to wait.

I agree with you. I actually loved the ending for being so realistic. Don't get me wrong, I really like happily-ever-after endings, but it's been a long time since I watch one like this and I found it very refreshing.
