I will give the show props for daring to be original. I think this is the only show I've seen that takes place in this time period. With that said, I'm surprised the dialogue and some of the writing is so mediocre considering who the director and screenwriters are. I'm committed to watching this show to the end because it has a unique premise, but I hope the writing picks up in the coming episodes.

The score for this show is appalling. Everything from the production, to the plot and story is great. Easily a 10/10 show, even the romance is done well.

Ah, well to each its own. I don't mind fast paces either, but there are some plots that I think should be slowed down and given context.At the very least, the show seems to have improved, now that I'm on the fourth episode, so who knows, I might like the show eventually..

After watching the first two episodes, this drama is pretty disappointing so far. I wasn't expecting a Zhen Huan level of quality, but I thought the show would at least be as good as Yanxi Palace, and so far its not. They're rushing through plots(which aren't that interesting in the first place), a few characters are too over-the-top villainous, and the female lead's acting feels off to me. I'll probably watch a few more episodes before deciding if I drop it or not, but I hope this show gets better, I'm really interested in this time period.

Gave this a 8. Good movie, loved the relationship between Miss Baek and Ji Eun. Might have to give Mother another rewatch.

I used to watch this subbed on Alodrama back in the day. Easily my favorite historical drama. Too bad you can't watch it anywhere though.

What a juvenile thing to say. How does that ruin logic and reality for you when there are "many" real life couples with that same age gap?
