Ep. 17 is when the story gets more dramatic and deeper. Before 17, the story was shallow and light-hearted.

Currently it's about how wu zhiqi used the star stone to accidently massacre people. And hes trying to get the star stone back to save his people from petrification. The timelines in the illusion prisms explains each thing wu zhiqi is trying to do. Hes been trying for a thousand years. That's why hes in each timeline.
