**This series is still running but because of the premise of the series, a review is possible already.** The overall plot of this horror series is absolutely ingenious - a series of 13 episodes (of course 13 since it's the unlucky number) which each tell a creepy urban legend or horror tale, in most cases connected to a highschool. Every episode has it's own story and plot, with different actors. Some of the plots are better than others, some are a bit weak, but overall this is good stuff. A few of the episodes watched so far have really, really original plots, that would make awesome full lenght horror movies, I hope some director gets inspired! That the setting is usually in high school milieu adds another edge to the series according to me, creating a red thread which further pushes the point of "high school urban legends". If one is easily spooked though - this really isn't THAT scary. Most of the episodes are merely creepy. The kind of creepy that makes your skin crawl and the hairs in your neck stand up - but rarely are they the kind that really makes you scared enough to light up the room your in and shit your pants. ONE of the episodes made me (actually) light a lamp and cause me to distract myself with something more nice, before going to bed - but I won't tell which ep >:D But it really wasn't all that scary that either :) Just that I have a thing about the scary stuff in that particular episode. So unless you are really a scaredy pants - you'll be fine watching this. Still - even if the stories aren't all that frightening, the creepiness gets under your skin and you'll get those pleasant shivers that one wants when watching horror. I'm a horror buff and I don't really get scared by stuff this light, but I still enjoy myself thoroughly with every episode and await them eagerly. This reminds me about The Twilight Zone or Tales from the Crypt - entertaining horror light. I can't enough point out how original some of these stories are - praise for the writer of the series! The compact format of the episodes makes the plots a bit hurried sometimes, but I can live with that since I appreciate the making of a horror series. It's a bit bloody, but generally not in a IN-YOUR-FACE kind of way so unless one is very squeamish, it will probably be ok. The acting is not marvellous, but generally very good, done mostly by the young stars of another Thai Smash Hit - Hormones, the series. Most of them are very eyecatching and for many fans that would probably be another carrot. But hey - that's another classic horror thing, right? Beautiful people being killed off in different creative ways... Dramaturgy and sets are good and filming is nicely executed. Music is creepy and chilling and very good and suitable. Rewatch value is very high, at least for me. That I choose to give it such a high rating is because of the excellent premise and good execution in creating classic, but very innovative, horror in a new and refreshing shape. All in all - a very nice surprise from creative Thai writers and producers!
