This is the best review I've read for this drama. And the way I laughed 🤣 so bad because it's entirely true I couldn't finish it my love for the cast wasn't enough. As I Said in the comments the cast deserved better, they were good but the script & writing were completely null.

The writing of this drama is messy and ridiculous at times I feel bad for the actors cause they did a great job but this isn't it. I can't come to care for any character, at this point I just want to know who is Lao A. Still enjoying some bits of an ni and captain he interaction.

Basically agree with everything you said the long monologue felt lazy for me but doesn't take much from my enjoyment. And for dilraba I didn't felt anything out of place in her portrayal for now , I directly connected her to a prosecutor. So she did a good job imo she definitely have a proper range

Oh....when listening I thought it was the same VA theirs voices have similarities. Well I really enjoy these two VA's. Thank you for the heads-up

And my God Liu yuning was like a ghost he is already very fair so the filter is making him.... And it's also ruining the costumes details. I do hope they fixed that cuz it's very important. I honestly don't understand why they put so much filters especially on these extremely attractive actors we are looking for human not dolls or anime's. Well I wish the best for LOA

The voice actor of Wang Hedi in both love between fairy and devil and in the Forbidden love is seriously good. I mean voice acting has a huge impact in the overall performance of an actor and Dylan is so lucky to have found such a great VA...I like his voice intonation pronunciation so much. I'm looking forward to Dylan character here, he does wonders in red flags characters and I'm here for it hope the overall story is decent or good. Looking forward

Looking at how great the longest day in chang'an was in all aspects I think they just don't want they can but don't want. There might be so many factors that 'm unaware of so I'll give them that but still there's laziness here

Contrary to many peoples here I would like LOA to air next year instead my attention is focused on Silent, forbidden love, and others things for now. But that's not the only reason...from the teaser they gave us the CGI was pretty bad and the filter hideous. The filter make them look weird over whitewashed rendering the makeup overdone and unflattering, we can still see a bit of the green background from the CGI and the lighting look way too fake not that I expect accurate lighting for that era but at least not that overdone to the point it look like " futuristic era" I do hope they fix all of these and air it in Q1 2023 instead. I loved some shots from the teaser and the battle scenes and
gosh Dilraba is just good in fights scene she have the aura the bearing and the BGM is too my liking.

On that I totally agree with you Titania. When they released the pics of them I first thought they have antagonistic chemistry and sometime attractive based on their pics. Obviously I think the context is important when seeing pictures hence I didn't dwell on it . but I saw many people saying they kind of gave the brother sister type of chemistry or no chemistry at all...it made me kind of Wonder 🤔. But after your comment on the story I went to read I'm still at the chap 71 of book 1 but it totally reassured me. What I saw in the pics is definitely what I felt when reading the book it's exactly them so in that aspect we should watch the drama before commenting on their chemistry cuz those pics have a story and they do reflect the story I read so far

I get you here...and I've come to the conclusion that chemistry depend on people's taste, like beauty ... Sure there are some costars that have the kind of chemistry that works on majority but it's never everyone who agrees on that (Yang yang & Dilraba for example). So I guess we'll always have this kind of comments no matter the couple I got used to it. But what bother me is that peoples are a bit to fixated on chemistry and make such a whole big deal out of it despite the genre of the drama really when the writing of the drama is good believe me we will enjoy wether the chemistry is non existent, okay or through the roof

And the topic of the drama being Love I loved when her shifu said everything is fate except Love. We decide whom we love and face the consequences of our choice but love change us and make us a better version of ourselves.
The drama of the year and the top Xianxia of all time

When dongfan QC and the goddess XIN Yun were in the pond....and he finally expressed his whole love for xiaolanhua their encounter what she did for him all the suffering they endured for each other why he hurt her...the acting was superb the emotions raws it was beautiful and so painful I bawled my eyes out with tears. They wrap up beautifully and I loved when the moon tribe and fairies worked together for a common purpose it was satisfying.

The chili (God of war) and Ren hai scene was spectacular how she told him about his human heart being corrupted and open herself about her human heart which was him
The flashback of Ren hai when he was young and human playing that extremely beautiful flute music and her listening and how when he died she decided to revive him despite the consequences. Him realizing and killing her and himself all this scene was emotionally stirring

Everything in this drama is beautiful and characters are layered no fillers and they make us Carr for each of them the villain isn't just there to further the story he has a drive a purpose a story he is desperate. XLH and DFQC love story is the fairytale of the decade such a beautiful and tragic love and Esther and Dylan are giving performance of their lives here I keep crying watching this. And the OST is just so beautiful and perfectly fitting all the scenes. Episodes keep getting better and better this is truly the drama of the year IMO. The BTS are just everything and the team work gave us one the best results seen these years

Ahh good to know. I always think that the fan is not the one convincing others about the talent Of theirs faves but it's the artist himself doing it. Fans can only promote and draw attention to their fave to the best of their capabilities. I myself was surely impressed by dilraba beauty the 1st time I saw her but what made me actually check her work was her seemingly natural acting and soulful eyes. She doesn't have top notch performance in all her dramas but definitely solid foundation and good potential. I do think her performance in the blue whisper is quite better than that of the long ballad (my humble opinion). But happy to see that you appreciate her craft she did a great job convincing you👍❤️

Since it's based on real cases and considering it's purpose, we will see reality here... but too much propaganda ( as I've seen one in the trailer) might be a cut off for a non Chinese viewer and despite it been real cases if they don't adapt it well for the screen the viewers might not stay throughout the drama

Reading you made me actually more interested in LOA. as a Fervent lover of NIF I love the mixture of genre in the drama. But at the same time I'm more concerned on the changes they'll make. I'll just keep my expectations as low as possible.

It might just be an initial impression of you because I was rather pleased by what I've seen in the trailer (concerning the acting of all the actors including Dilraba)
On the other hand what concern me (and I think it's really important) it's wether they will shower us with too much propaganda and wether or not they will make the cases interesting and intriguing enough to grasp the attention of the viewers.
I personally think c-drama viewers easily criticise acting ( it's not bad but generally theirs critics are a little immature). A good drama start from the story, storytelling, directing, editing, acting, cinematography.....this come from my observation i'm not an expert and I take that in consideration when giving my opinion (critique). Let's all wait to how the drama turn out then we will be able to give more insights concerning the above mentioned points. Hope it will actually be an interesting drama with good cases and in depth characters ( I saw a glimpse of an interesting character and a good actress)
