If the drama was shot in 2022 then I can probably understand that due to the woke cancel culture that was prevalent at the time, the director probably felt that he/she had to be "fair" and give both ML and FL equal screen time to tell their story.

I believe the father sucked the snake venom from his daughter's wound and because he has gum disease, the venom went into his bloodstream even though he probably spit out the venom.
