I couldn't express it better ! many people didnt get why i didn't like this drama as much as they did, i will show them your review which resumed exactly my thoughts and impression about the untamed !
The drama needed a better script.. I loved the aesthetics, the chemistry betwzen the actors but the storyline was boring.. such a waste of big potential
This drama deserved a better script, and a less childish FL (nothing personal against the actress, she did her best to make her character likable), Qiu Yue was the only positive part, he saved this average drama
Not going to say about the ending because was already expecting something like that and as far as the show is…
for me, usually like you i like my leads to be fixed, but this drama was an exception for me, because i've found Waner character so boring that i ended up shipping FX with any other female (whether it's si lili or duoduo) because he obviously had better chemistry with them. Also the drama was tagged as "harem" so i wasn't expecting a fixed leads anyway (appearently according to the novel readers FX will have more than one love interest but waner will remain as his first love and only wife).
I'm only at episode 7 and i think i'll drop this drama, the FL is very annoying and childish while she's supposed to be strong and shivalrous... I don't understand how the ML fell for her and i don't like his character either...
We all want more sweet and intimate moments between the FL and the ML in S2, but I can't figure out how it will be, considering the fact that the FL can't handle the ML demaon power and faint over the smallest skinship xD

I watched this drama mostly because of Fiction Guo, even if he wasn't believable as an idol but i like his other aspects of acting. The female lead was fine too and i liked her "ugly" version more than the "princess" one. Honestly I dropped it at ep 18 even if I enjoyed it over all. The plot needed to be more polished, with less episods, the drama had more a taiwanese youth drama vibe. If you like Fiction Guo i advice you to watch "growing pain".
Some fans are upset that Wang Lu is not the reincarnation of Yangshang in the drama and personally I liked it this way. I liked the fact of them being different people (especially that they are extremely different personalities it wouldn't be believable of them being one). And I liked the fact of Wang Yu finding a new lover instead of lingering over a dead one, it's life. Also the gap age between the main leads (in drama and real life) was cute and they still managed to have great chemistry, i wished for them to have more screen time

i put the drama on hold too even if i have only few episods to finish, i don't want to keep watching gu yenzhan getting ignored by the girl he loves while she's having fun with the other dude lol ! My girlfriend is an alien is a nice choice :)
Xie Xiang was too hesitant with her feelings toward Gu Yan Zhen that I ended up shipping him with Manting, her ways of pursuing him and taking care of him were way cuter and genuine, even if Gu was very frank with her from the begining, he never gived her false hopes and he draw clear limits about their relationship while Xie Xiang was less committed and kept going on dates with Jun Shen and tormenting the two guys with her undecisive character... I also felt that jun shen had more scream time than Xu Kai inspite being the second lead and inspite his lack of chemistry with Bai Lu...
