I struggled to finish this drama, something is off with the storyline, the romance and the chemistry between the two lead actors... The begining was great and gave me very high expectations though...
Am I the only one who was expecting a sad ending (I didn't expect them to die but to be separated), because since the begining Chang Peng didn't belong to this world, and sooner or later he would return to be in the present when he will wake up. I think that it was more about a beautiful yet sad dream Chang Peng had experienced when he was in a coma, rather than being really tranfered into the past (according to the first ending). As for the second ending I think he really traveled into the past and woke up as Peng Peng.
Jiu Wand and Yang yan literraly broke my heart, Jiu Wang love for Peng Peng was so genioune, so true and so faithfull, and she just ended up by betraying him. The scene when Yang Yan tell Peng Peng that only faithful poeple can see the ants was so touching, also for the scene when Jiu wang hugged desperately the empress..
I loved The emperor and hated him at the same time, I wanted to know more about his relashionship with the old Peng Peng, why things didn't go well between them in the past, what made him decide to kill her at the begining. If anyone can give me more details about this I would be grateful
I'm watching this drama and I've noticed something very specfic to T-dramas, when the main leads are kissing, there always someone spying on them, like friends, family or co-workers, it somehow makes that scene less romantic, we can't enjoy the magic of the moment since the camera focuses on the spies reaction also..

1- Better and more complicated storylines.
2- Better acting, which makes me more involved into the story and more attached to the caracters.
3- Better cinematography
