8 episodes in and the dad did not once apologize to the daughter - for everything that happened leading up to his disappearance, for being gone for 10 years, basically forcing the daughter to give up her life and become the bread winner of the family. How did he think they were gonna survive without him if they were almost bankrupt when he left? And then he just waltz back in because now he has money and can win them over? I get that it is a family drama and it is gonna end 'happily' but he didn't once show remorse for his actions or try to talk to his kids, just go straight to the 'i am gonna seduce your mum act'. I get the mum still loves him and knew him before he screwed up but the kids did not? they saw no redeeming qualities why should they accept him? The daughter is forced to become an emotional crutch for the mum for 10 years until the dad comes back and now she doesn't need the daughter anymore. now she can go on and have her own life? Just because she has someone else to depend upon.
