Funny how the following year, in 2016, Noble Aspiration was the most successful drama despite it being so plotless. The most shameless actress, ZLY, also the most successful actress once again, both 2015 and 2016. She gripped a really strong foothold since then and began stepping all over every other actresses. Luckily, recently, many dramas already grew out of the "big female lead" trope. AvenueX is obviously very jealous of some of those dramas, she makes false complaints about so many actresses. ZLY upcoming drama is The Legend of Shen Li, which is still stuck on big female lead tropes. If she doesn't make it look like people are still wanting "big female lead" tropes, when her drama airs it will take a toll on her. She produced that drama, it's gonna be her baby. There is no production that will ever spray dirt on themselves. When Zhang Ziyi produced Rebel Princess, she revealed her opinions that she was super upset with the low rating and horrible reviews. It's funny that no matter how bad all ZLY works are, nobody ever talk badly about her works, she always get more than 100% good feedbacks from the audience. That is true with the first Xianxias. Journey of Flower was plotless and stupid, I was never able to pick it up. To me, Ten Miles of Peach Blossom did not even pick up until episode 30. I dropped Eternal Love of Dreams somewhere in the middle. Love and Destiny first few episodes were ok but I still dropped it very early on.

Ashes of Love had a strong start though, the pace was fast since the beginning.
Till the End of the Moon also had a very strong start, hooked everyone right in.

Very few Xianxia will be fastly paced, but they tend to be controversial bc of loopholes in the storyline. I watch for the engagement, if it is engaging and interesting I leave very good feedbacks. I don't care about those stupid story loopholes cause it's not like dramas are meant to be perfect and realistic. I also don't care about all the stupid things people tend to aim at the FL being dumb or superwoman, the FL can be stupid or unrealistically powerful, but for all I care is the engagement. Things that are plotless but boring as heck, I will not be lenient with those, to be honest, I will roast them.
If it has a plot but it's boring I will be more lenient. If it's plotless but manage to be engaging, I am even more lenient. What I will never ever tolerate is boring and also plotless, and I can ignore such shows and just move on to what I like... however, some actress can be so shameless... her stuff can be the most boring but still push her ratings, reviews, and hype to the max and attack her colleagues's works. I won't name such actress, but she did things like that so many times, even when she moved to other genres she will still find words to attack others regardless. I guess what I don't tolerate is boring and plotless things, PLUS they also play evil marketing behind everyone's back. Honestly, I find Dilireba, Yukee Chen, and even Yang Zi and Yang Mi in several plotless and boring things before, but they keep their scores low because they don't dare to cheat by playing evil marketing. If I don't like a show I can just ignore it, it ain't my issue, but sometimes there are just people who are too desperate and they get annoying.

It's only 4 episodes so far, I think the story isn't exactly that strong for me yet, but the engagement level isn't all that bad, not super high but also not super low.

Rating is quite low. I actually watched this while multitasking. I would say they don't have a strong start, it wasn't able to sway me from cleaning and lock myself to the tv. Visuals seem to be good, ZLS looks very beautiful. I think the trailer has a lot going on so it will definitely improve. I feel like nothing much has happened in the first 4 episodes yet, but the chemistry between the lead is ok though. ZLS's char actually have goals and ambitions while the ML is a good for nothing, their bickering are cute and funny.
