How in the world is it even offensive to blur body doubles out, totally sounds like Trashta and her brainless minions, I never heard of such a stupid excuse like that ever before.

Then you should watch The Vigilantes In Masks (2011), Liu Shi Shi was very much like a super ninja at the end of episode 1, I love how Wallace Huo flicker the light at her. The drama lacks comedy though, it's a lot darker than this drama.

Yes but working with big names like Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi still lead to international exposures. JT is 35 and ZLY is 36, almost same age. I'm not surprised why JT got into filming while ZLY struggle to even get her foot in dramaland. Look at their appreances in the past.

Just because JT got into filming while many people cannot, she gets bullied having connections by sleeping with governments. To be honest, Jing Tian is a grad from Beijing Dance Academy, first, it's hard to get in so she must be very talented to get accepted, second, those grads are usually successful and scouted. Compare to ZLY, she's the #1 with connections with men, bc she had no talent in anything, no training either, and they allowed her first projects to be mingle around very big names like Zhou Xun, Ray Liu, Tang Guo Qiang, etc. It's annoying how ZLY cries victim that she got bullied many years working as extras. Oh I did not realize Yu Zheng is indeed one of the producers. I disagree about Yanxi Palace, the lighting was not best in there either but was still legit. They looked like corpses because they tried to imitate ancient makeup, they used real historical photos as references. In The Legacy, they also have to style up like people from that era. Everyone has funny hair to me when it comes to republican era. If you go back to watch things from the 2000s you will notice the actors wearing huge baggy suits. Realistically, that was how things are like back then. To me, the more realistic a production can be, the better and more professional. Daylight Production put on a very big front, saying they are top notch, however, speaking of their overhype Minglan, their lighting is way worst. Styling also way worst, their actors literally wore modern fabrics and modern vests. I start to like Yu Zhen more than producers who puts on a sweet front so they can be unprofessional. Yu Zheng is upfront annoying and disgusting but he proves to be a better producer many times.

I didn't even know this drama exist. I'm so glad I found out late so I can binge watching. Although I love Bai Lu, I have to say Zhou Ye won me this year. I adore Zhou Ye after Back From the Brink but she didn't amaze me in that one. I can tell this one is a whole lot cheaper. I almost couldn't recognize my Zhang Zhe here cause the lighting is so bad, unprofessional! The lighting in Kunning Palace makes Zhang Zhe looks way more handsome. Same with Ai Mi, she was so drop death beautiful in My Journey to You. I'm not saying they look ugly in this one, they still look good, but in Kunning Palace and My Journey to You, GOSH the lighting improved their looks 3 times better. There are also times, the props here are obviously very fake. The last parts amaze me to death, for the FIRST TIME EVER they put in some good explanations behind these redundant brain transmigration thingy. I love love the explanation behind Hua Rong Zhou's true identity, it is such a beautiful explanation.
Zhou Ye's acting is not cheap, this production is cheap, but I must applaud Zhou Ye this time because she made this look very rich. If there is any best trophies or awards to throw out there, I vote Zhou Ye for first place. I can't believe how underrated this drama is.
