I see so many good comments in this page that i kind of feel sorry for no liking this drama that much. In general the ML is a huge red flag, FL character is almoust the same as one of the lifes in TTEOTM, the eps 1-14 are really boring, the relation between the leads is so short close to nothing so they don't have a development as a couple plus there isn't really chemestry as a romance more like friendship and loyalty, the characters (most of them) don't have any development, whats wrong with the camera angles and slow motion in this drama? It's weird, some actors are really bad at some parts they look like reading the script. I liked the acting of the Duke Xue and the Empress 10/10, the story about revenge and plotting, the characters are not dumb, the misunderstandings are very few, the satisfying ending is a big plus. 7.5/10 for me
What a great drama, this goes right into my top3 Wuxias. An interesting story full of humor, adventure, personal growth, journey of discovery and finally love. I liked the acting, the scenery, the OST, the story, the attention to details, the characters, the development of part 1. I was a little upset by the palace arc and that they introduced new characters so that almost all of them were villains or rude people and that some important things such as the commitments or arrests of the villains or punishments that the characters received were shown with scenes instead of just mentioning it because they were wasting time on evil princesses, instead of on results. In short, Cheng Shao Shang's character was the best developed, but the main characters and even some secondary characters also had development during the drama. For me part 1: 9.5/10 and part 2: 9/10. Totally recommended for people who enjoy long dramas and like the development of events not to be forced, but rather step by step. PS: I would have liked to see a little more of the story of the third prince
Do u mean cliche scenes? cause i dont see how forced plot translates to these scenes
That's why i think about you, you are attacking a lot of people in the comments, so you are whining and crying because the people just like what they like.
Do u mean cliche scenes? cause i dont see how forced plot translates to these scenes
I'm not 'crying' about details. In fact like i said the drama is enjoyable 8.5 (for me) is a good score, i don't see a problem with my short review, you don't need to be offensive because you don't like my comment about the careless plot. Details is different, is the plot about daily mini-stories in the drama.
'majority doesnt even remember these scenes' i do remember if you ask me about a drama that i saw 10 years ago i would probably remember if the drama is worth it, and i will remember if you ask me about this drama in 10 years.
Do u mean cliche scenes? cause i dont see how forced plot translates to these scenes
Those scenes don't make any sense and a birth for example wasn't necessary in here house that's why i said is forced. For example the man that entered to Hye Jin house, has been stalking other womans, why attack her in that careless way? I don't make sense at all, and the birth scene, why not attend her in her house? why take her to Hye Jin's house? plus there are some nosense, like the baby just born the bed should be a mess with blood and some other fluids like the amniotic fluid but as soon as he cry for the first time and Dong Shik enter to the bedroom, everything is so perfect LOL Maybe not 'forced' but fillers with no so much sense.
best drama of this year so far has been 'Brush up life' for me.'Oh no here comes trouble' and 'copycat killer'…
I saw Brush Up Life and Oh No Here Comes trouble and those were really enjoyable, i will add Copycat Killer and the Long Season in my list to watch Thank You =D
For me it's gotta be Hidden Love and Moving. Tbh this year was a little more than lackluster for me. Been in a…
What it worked for me to left the slump was to watch short dramas, i started with korean movies and then move to supershort dramas and then to dramas with few episodes like Black Knight (not so great drama) and then i move to chinese dramas with length of 30-40 minutes, and then i find a interesting drama called I Am Nobody and i think this drama worked, cause after that i saw the Glory after that i saw Scent of Time, so i left that slump after watching 3 ok and good dramas in a row. After that i'm just watching everything that has good raiting in the top shows general list. I hope you can left the slump too, good luck!
Duty After School: Part 2 should be the most disappointing show this year by far, i get angry only by remember that name pfff. Also i must say that i usually got 1-3 shows with (MY) raiting in 9.5, but this year nothing was at that level, the closest was The Glory Part 2, Scent of Time and Moving with my raiting of 9.0, but those dramas are full of errors, a little of plot holes, or dumb stories, the rest of the dramas that i have seen are just OK dramas. Does anyone has a good recommendation for a great drama of this year? I'm kind of sad that there isn't a great drama, last year Alchemy of Souls, Under the Queen's Umbrella and Reset were so good, i really want to find a drama for remember the year.
what is hidden love and till the end of the moon doing on this list? and so high up?! 😭
Hidden Love is more like a watpad story with only the female character well development and a 'perfect' (unrealistic) male character and none to zero secondary characters but also i understand why people could vote for Till the end of the moon cause SPOILER everything was for nothing? But for me those 2 dramas are ok, they are not disappointing i was expecting how the story goes. However, i only voted for: After School part 2 that was the most disappointing show that i have seen in the last 5 years.
Cute light drama about daily adventures and life in a villa. I liked the relationship between the leads, the ministories with the other characters, the OST, the direction and the cinematography. I disliked a little bit the forced plots like: The man that attacked Yoon Hye Jin and the birth in Yoon Hye Jin's bed. It was an enjoyable drama overall. 8.5/10 for me
It's a cute musical drama. I liked the main story and the actors, i loved Ha Yi Chan and Yoon Cheong Ah romance, the actor that played Ha Eun Gyeol was really amazing, i loved the casting and the OST is 10/10, really great, the growth of the characters was very good, and in general terms none of the characters are 2D, on the contrary the people change with the development of events and I have always loved when there is a lesson in dramas and it is not just a story. However as a 'time travel' drama it has several problems, like the things that happened in every episode were dumb from time to time for example when Eun Gyeol entered to the Yoon family, they give an identity to Eun Gyeol like nothing, he enters to the school without any papers, and most dumb ever and the next day he already has a uniform with a name on it LOOOL. At school, it didn't seem like it was 1995, the hairstyles and the shape of the uniforms seemed like they were from 2023. On the other hand, I remember 1995 and no no no people didn't have a fax machine in every room and much less every person had a beeper . It also has problems in the main story for example: If Eun Gyeol's family was never poor, it means that they never lived in the basement in the first episode, and if they didn't live there, how did Eun Gyeol meet the old man in the store and who taught him to play guitar? Also the mother's family don't have any sense of reality, like they went in ep1 from non-existent to 'i will protect my daughter'; And what happened to Yoon Cheong Ah' s mother? Why she didn't came back? Anyways, the youth part of the drama is a really 9.5 out of 10. But the 'time travel' and the script in some parts are like a 7 out 10. So for me is a 8.5/10.
I enjoyed the adventure and the humor also the characters in this season were better but the plot is full of holes and non-sense to the point of foolishness, at least S1 make sense, this is nothing special, just a drama to pass the time that is all. 7.5/10
WOW, this drama was better than i expected. 1. Costumes, hairstyles and make up is easy easy a 10 out 10, i have seen some chinese costumes dramas but nothing like this one. 2. The characterization, the background, the environment and the scenery is also a 10 out of 10, and how did they do the ceremony of placing the incense, perhaps that's how it was done in ancient times in China or did they devise a way to characterize it in the drama? 3. All characters mature and show growth over the course of the drama, and is not like in other dramas that you see a 'forced' growth that looks fake. The characters journey is what i most value in any drama. 4. This drama moved me, in a way that hasn't happened to me for about 4 years. When something bad happens I would like to change the past to prevent bad things from happening, but you cannot change the past, you have to face the future and not run away .It is an invaluable lesson. 5. Now of course the plot isn't the best for me, i tought she would like to be alone for the moment, and maybe in the future change her mind, i didn't like any of the males LOL 6. The ending is a big let down, with plot holes like if Zhong Xi Wu was in love with Hua Qian why didn he let her suffer all the way until her family died and when she lived in exile for a year, is dumb the explanation they give of the event is dumb. What a beautiful drama, i think the production put a lots of love in the making of the drama, for the ones that we don't really care the ending and we are more about how the story unfolds is totally worth watching. I'm giving a biased rating because i liked a lot the details. 9/10.
This drama is really addictive, but got some plot holes and no sense: 1. Fingerprints like in every 'crime scene' but the police can't find anything 2. What was the point of Ji Soo Heon giving his phone to Tae So Yeon if everyone was going to suspect of him anyway? 3. There is a dead or a crime in that school every other day and there is no teachers or principal or any authority or worse if this happens so frequently, why don't they install more CCTV's? It seems that none of the cameras they have capture anything, like for example the ending i guess they could see who at least was going to the rooftop, since like the police didn't even check. 4. All the adults (except the detectives) instead of being an example, they cover everything that Ji Soo Heon does LOL. Anyway the drama is really entertaining and that it's what it matters. 8/10 for me.
i watched ep 1 and i don’t think i can watch with the actor change… does anyone know why the actors dropped…
This drama was going to be recorded BEFORE the pandemic in 2019 just after the airing of the 3 parts, but the production of the drama (Netflix) kept postponing the recordings, there were rumors that filming for the second season of the drama was never going to happen and that both SJK and KJW had rejected other drama offers to wait for the start of filming for the second season, which was supposed to be in December 2019. Finally, after changing production companies and moving from Netflix to Disney (and 3 years later), the recordings of the second season were possible, but the main actors already had other plans due to their schedules and all the delays that occurred in the making of the drama.
