You can't tell me Shifu and Wu Zhi Qi were not a couple man. "Old friend" my ass. Really enjoyed the last two episodes, I'm almost starting to feel bad for Chi Wen because it's like he's facing an existential crises at this point. Also really curious to see how the relationships develop after this last arc.
Never knew I needed to watch Dudu and Joseph Zeng growing old together ❤️ it was so beautifully done! I'm…
I know, me too! I love how this arc has played out so far. It's so beautiful seeing them grow old together. Worst case, we'll have these moments to look back on even if they *temporarily* return to their previous ways after leaving the illusion
I'm surprisingly really enjoying this, surprising because I've hated most ensemble cast dramas besides Blood of Youth and Journey to You so didn't have high expectations for this. Eps 11 to 13 have been my favorite so far. Really curious to see how the relationships evolve once they leave the illusion, but the backstories have been awesome so far. It's a bit all over the place, but I also somewhat enjoy how chaotic everything has been.
Unfortunately, hung around 17 episodes in and I'm still finding the plot to be really weak. Aside from the aesthetics, I haven't found anything worth latching unto. Will drop for now and maybe pick back up when it finishes airing.
This shit is ass so far omg, I'm sorry but I've never felt such a visceral level of disagreement with an on-screen pairing like this before. Idk, Arthur just isn't selling the general role for me and he doesn't come across mature enough or something for a leading man for Dilraba. I really hope it gets better, plotwise and chemistry wise cos even the visuals isn't doing anything for me.
Actually underrated drama of 2025. It should be at least 8 stars. Chemistry between the leads was fantastic, and i loved how they held strong in their relationship and didnt let outside factors affect them. Loving, respectful and mature couple. There's quite a bit of drama and angst but the MCs were mature so the way they handled the drama made it less frustrating to watch. The only thing I had to suspend belief over was wrt the MMC's career progression in the modelling industry-everything just worked out too easily for him for me to feel moved/proud of his achievements(?), but honestly I didnt care too much, its Daddy Tang ffs, of course a face like his will succeed lol. Despite that, I did appreciate that this was centered around the modeling industry as its not something I've seen in dramas, so it was an eye opening and fun to watch, though likely hyperdramatized. I hope more people watch this drama.
Come the fuck on. There's a literal alien species on earth and the best the country has to offer as protection to its citizens are these Hunters? Bahaha. Yeah no, its an interesting concept but i just can't wrap my head around how im supposed to believe the Hunters are supposed to put up a fight or even win against the aliens when they are so clearly underprepared.
Just watched her in Sniper Butterfly and loved her performance. I am gobsmacked that I've never once come across her face before, at least not to my memory (I'm gonna watch LoZH soon tho so I'll look out for her there!)
I came here mainly to give her props for her performance in Sniper Butterfly and to say her face, or more specifically her smiling expression, reminded me SO much of Korean actress Kim Yeo Jin who played the mom role in Angel's Eyes and was one of the skilled masters or something in Dae Jang Geum.
Anyway, I hope to cross paths again with more of Michelle's works!
Man, the latest couple of episodes have been an insane ride. Here I was thinking, "what more could possibly happen for the remaining 11 episodes now that the 'main villain' is out of the picture?" And then the writers just go and start orchestrating new alliances between the other characters to further the plot along. Is there no one with morals and accountability in this entire drama aside from our main leads? I'm highly dissapointed in MRY's father, I get his desire to protect his son, but et tu brutus? Idk, everything is so intense and entertaining but I'm just not sure I like how the writers are manipulating the characters' motivations to move the plot along.
Chemistry is truly amazing, so sensual and intimate. Idk how these short dramas keep overperforming in this aspect compared to the big budget cdramas, but I aint complaining. Also amazed at FL's portrayal of two different characters, reminds me of the actress and her performance in A Familiar Stranger.
Only thing I'm confused/concerned about is the relationship between Xiao Ren and Jin Yu. Are they actual siblings??
Such an interesting short series! Loooved the family dynamics so much. Found families are always such a great trope and joy to watch. Highly anticipating and praying we get a S2 cos this series for sure deserves it.
The thing is, I'll probably really like this drama, but I can clearly tell its going to pull on my mental, so I'm just going to avoid it until my heart is ready to take on the pain. Same reason I still haven't watched First Frost. I just can't handle stories that feel too real.
I don't know why I expected anything more when I'm already the biggest hater of transmigration plot. I already knew I'd be dissapointed with the ending, and it surely did dissapoint.
Anyway, the journey through the 33 episodes was an enjoyable ride and I loved Sima Jiao and Liao Tingyan as a couple so this drama also has its positives.
Ep 11, Respect to Caihe man. I think she developed feelings for Qin Chen but despite that, she did not let it cloud her goal of revenge which I do not blame her for at all. Respect. All those years of serving that family day by day just biding her time for the truth to be revealed. Insane level of dedication.
