Thank you for respectfully putting out your opinions. I genuinely appreciate when people can give criticisms without the use of inane words to bring others down. I totally get your point, it would have been meaningful to have grandmother's ring.

I am grateful that Gu Hwa Ran did not get a redemption arc but she was able to prioritise the important things in her life: Jihu. Familial hurt and healing goes beyond an episode or two of dramas, and I like how they kept this aspect realistic.
The scene where Granny cried after hearing Gu Won profess his love and intention to marry Sarang is realistic and relatable, at least for me because my grandmother cried when my brother in law came to ask for my sister’s hand in marriage (she had raised my sister). The tears of joy pierced my heart.
I like how Gu Won encouraged Sarang’s dream and helped her out in his own way. He even proposed to Sarang when the dust had settled and didn’t rush into it. Men like Guwon are rare but they do exist (sans the chaebol part).
Lastly, the wedding scene was absolutely beautiful. If I ever have the joy and privilege of marrying the love of my life, I hope it is as beautiful as this scene.

I am coming back to MDL after weeks because it got so toxic at one point, I didn’t feel the need to stick around such negativity.
King the Land was my escapade for weeks. I had not felt this fluffy feeling ever since Our Beloved Summer.
I am glad this drama came to fruition, in a beautiful way. I have grown to love the characters and I will now look forward to other projects of the casts because they had made the last few weeks of my life endearing. I speak for myself so don’t bring your two cents under my comment section unless you have nice things to add. I have had enough of the whining, let me bask in the sweet glory of King The Land.

I am starting to think Gu Won's father genuinely loved his mother but was unable to save their relationship as he mentioned to Gu Won that it becomes more challenging to save one person (somewhere along those lines hehe). I was intrigued by that statement.

I appreciated your criticism made earlier, I think you watch a lot of dramas and draw them out from experience. You also made some valid points, you're not a hater for disliking this drama. I get it, it's just not your cup of tea.

I have gone from admiring Yoona and Junho in the first episode to kicking the air, screaming into my pillow, feeling butterflies in my stomach by the sixth episode. This is the second drama (after Our Beloved Summer) that made me feel this way. Thanking the heavens for this drama hahaha

This is my escape drama after a long, tiring week. I don't really care if you think this is 'cliched, poorly written, ridiculous', everyone is entitled to their opinions but please don't bring your negativity to this forum. Some of us are genuinely invested in whatever this is offering, it caters to our needs. We are not here for rocket-science-revolutionary-more depth than the ocean plots. The simplicity of it, albeit over the top sometimes, is what draws us. This drama is not contending for an Oscar award so please, make your criticisms in a respectful way without comparing it to other dramas and personally attacking the actors, they are just doing their job.

You, my friend, deserve an award. I did not want to think this far because this was the 'cliched' romcom that was an escape drama for some of us after a long, tiring week but reading your observations, I can see where the writer could possibly take a turn with the character in terms of depth.

Okay, my pessimism got the best of me in the first two episodes.I am definitely starting to see the dynamics between the three friends. I even watched the recent behind the scenes and could feel that they were enjoying filming together.

I know right? I have been enjoying this so far but I genuinely do not feel the chemistry between the three friends. I even watched the behind the scenes and something was off. Frankly, I wish their scenes were shorter. Let's hope something worthy comes out of these scenes.

I am going to drop this for now. It's interesting but I do not have the mental capacity to absorb all the information at the moment. Going to stick with lighthearted drama and come back to this once it is completed.

What are people so salty about?? There are already articles popping up about their disappointment with the first episode and how it is so cliched. This is a feel good drama, the actors themselves stated that they chose this project because it was ‘lighthearted’. And we’re only on the first episode. Chill, give this some time and if you don’t like it, drop it. No need to act like it’s the end of the world. This is not directed at anyone in the comment section, I had just come here to rant 🫰🏼
