Exactly! This is what I liked about the character of female lead from the Double!
Yes she was hurt and she didn't let her hurt make her hurt others. She learned from her mistakes, became stronger , asked for help when she knew she needed it and loved her man. That drama will always be AAA^+drama for me....such good storyteilling
Watched till episode 21 and a little note from me.
PWX is played so well by Zhang Ling he who is doing a phenomenal job with the character. PWX is a fantastic character who has grown, learned from his past mistakes and thriving to be a better him. I note that even first life PWX was a good man..yes he found it difficult to discern his feelings but through it all he never once betrayed LR ...even when he came back to the 2nd life he forgave her readily for killing him. I think everyone has glossed over this and sees LR with rose tinted glasses.
I have seen comments after comments justifying her actions saying she doesnt know how to trust, its her upbringings and she was hurt in the past but lets really compare them. PWX was hurt by LR, his mother,SRQ, his family and not once so far as he ever treated them the way he has been treated. PWX deserves his petals for being such a fantastic character. If after confessing several times to LR and all she can say his wait for me...i think it is one more time too many. He has every right (pwx) not to trust the wife who killed him(yes i know its a misunderstanding but sheesh she forgave SRQ and trusts him), he has every right to leave her to her schemes and grab for power when she dismisses his feelings. He grew up with family members that wanted to kill him, his own mother never had his back, his wife killed him and in the life she hurts him more.
We need to recognise that PWX upbringing and childhood isnt any less difficult than LRs and perhaps understand that LR has had quite enough grace given to her for hers. I hope the happenings of the novels in the second life in the way she treats him doesnt happen in the drama because damn there wouldn't be any grace left.
Moral of my ramblings: your past does not give you an excuse to hurt others and LRs character needs to learn this lesson.

From the get go of their second life, he admits his mistakes and she tells him she wants to end up with that guy. He steps back and helps her. I understand she is upset he didnt love her then but she admits in the jail scene that she knew he loved her ...so what was her excuse? Love isnt immediate, they didnt know each other before they got married but should have learnt each other slowly. She made assumptions and got carried away by what she believes. After reading the novel , if i put both their actions on a scale and weigh it, you will find that ML deserved better. They have a chance to live a 2nd life with knowing everything she knows, she still goes down the path to destruction. The saying you cant force a horse to water is correct in her case.

I understand that but the question is what has she done to deserve his love. We see a male character who was unsure of himself and because she was egotistical she couldn't be patient. He never treated her badly, not loving someone isnt a crime. She admits that he treated her so well in their past life. In this second life, he gives his care, attention and support to her. She takes but doesn't give. They already have an imbalance in their relationship and yet she takes more. No ones owes anyone any loyalty, how can she ask for something she didnt give. We see that he isn't even helping her yo better himself but so she can live a good life. He reflected on his mistakes from the past life and tries to do better yet she doesn't and she needs to take a long hard look at herself and step off her high horse

She hasn't learned anything....zero character development..how she dislikes PWX but likes SRQ who killed her. She doesn't even feel remorse for killing PWX after finding out he had nothing to do with her death. I dislike characters (male and female) who take advantage of people because they can and she is such a toxic character
I find it disconcerting that Li Rong hasnt seemed to learn from the past. What use is a rebirth if she is doomed to make the same mistakes again. I would rather be with PWX who although she is unsure of his love, he is loyal to her and forgave her despite her killing him. Yet her pride will not let her see the truth right before her eyes. She chooses to be with the man who pretended to love her , slowly posioning her and watching her wither. I am surprised she isn't weary of SRQ. This is like keeping a tiger next to you and choosing to turn your back on it knowing full well he will attack you. I read PWX pov in chapter 170 and unfortunately he seems to me like someone with stockholm syndrome, he knows she is bad for him and yet can't free himself of her. I hope unlike the novel, Li rong, is able to open her eyes and lose her ego. Toxic characters both males and females should be called out and i am afraid Li Rong is toxic.
