I think same like you, the more suffer here is dong fang, he is accept all of pain from child, even everyone mistaken him and blame him for everything. The story is still if dong fang not meet xiao lan hua then he still in pain, his father thaught him with a boundless pain and he is become heartless but at least after meeting xiao lan hua, his life is changing.
