Wang Pei Yan and Liu Nian are fabulous together. The chemistry is so palpable that you really feel like they are fighting each other one minute, yet falling for each other the next. He was able to make us believe he was able to fall for her first, rekindling the interest they had in high school, but lost, during a childhood misunderstanding. He was vehemently against her having any influence in his life at first, due to her behavior suddenly changing in an instant at his party. Turns out a 3rd party wanted him to be out of the way, so a devious but well planted " mistake " led to the demise of their possible connection. She was obsessed with him at first, but her heart turned cold after being broken, not letting anyone else in, feeding her unrelenting torrential volcanic wrath towards her nemesis. It was a long fought battle, as he had no understanding of what destroyed their budding love, but he fed off of her passionate desire for his demise, lashing back at her with all the toxic retribution he could muster.
Then, a little boy came into their lives, completing them, helping them to put their misunderstandings to rest, showing them unconditional love ❤️. They learned what was most important in their lives, and how to forgive wrongs. The acting os phenomenal. The writing is not bad at all.

It's been 5 years, but he was banned, so, it was a victory to get this on the air, even though it was filmed in 2017. To get a shelved show released after everything else was a victory to keep his chances at sometime being able to return to the screen. Since all this started, he became a clothing and jewelry designer, and ultimately a popular singer. Touring other countries, putting things he had put on the back burner into the spotlight. He rebuilt himself after they tried to destroy him. He survived and fulfilled his dreams.

Yeah. It throws the whole concept off-kilter and is a bit distractingbut hey, they did the best they could with what they had. Good to see Zhang Zhe Han acting again. It was a long road to return to the screen.

Welcome to the general public. I hope you find more happiness on this side of the world, but be wary as well. Not everything is good, but not everything is bad either. Be safe and heal well.
