Someone help me understand the ending and the side stories. I watched it on the Pink Pong Dailymotion page. So the FL left to drop off Jangyi's ashes to come back a year later. But why did the ML need to take an antidote that removes his memories? Was it after he was poisoned by the pastry that his sister poisoned? I thought he was saved by the white haired guy. so since he didn't take the antidote, he will lose all senses? Does it mean he'll die? And that alternate reality set in modern times, when he comes in to collect the scripts and then sees her walk out why is she in color and everything is gray? Is that to indicate he reincarnated? So confused! 😆
would you say this drama is as sad as hi bye mama?
Read this only if you want to know the ending.
In Hi Bye Mama you know she's already dead so you expect a sad ending. This one just has a sad ending bc you hope that the drama team will give you a HE.
I saw this show up on Viki so I watched it since I recognized the FL from Sunshine By My Side. I've never seen Eddie Peng's works before, but he really impressed me. This is a total tear jerker in the second half. I had a feeling with the description that we would get to find out the reason for the break up would have to be something we would find out later.
After watching it, I had this feeling it is the typical Korean melo which I really loved watching growing up. Then I started reading the credits while listening to the end credit music which sounded eerily like a Chinese version of a Korean soundtrack, and I realized the director and half the staff are Korean! CJ Entertainment is also listed. I checked to see if it was a remake of a Korean movie but it isn't so it must have been just a partnership.
If you liked this, you should watch some of the older Korean melos like Winter Sonata & Stairway to Heaven.
Just finished the last episode. With so many references to "Noble Lady" in the last quarter of the drama, they should have left the title as "Gui Nv". I have no idea what the Glory has to do with this drama.
Was Noble Consort jealous because Ruan Yiwen was more popular than her, and also jealous that Yuwen loved Ruan.…
Zhuang wasn't castrated. When he was detained with the other officials and they were verified by being forced to take a bath, Yuwen said no one there were castrated.
I'm not discounting her yet either. I think she maybe SY 2.0. While initially she may become friends with Mudan…
I haven't read the book but I'm thinking it'd be great if her character will become friends with Mudan and then sacrifice herself when Ning does something bad to Mudan.
