this one is weird for me, I honestly don't know whether I enjoyed it or hated it... it's as much entertaining as it is mediocre (on the acting, I don't get why seo in guk chose this project his performance was boring, and I feel like Jisoo's acting wan't as bad as everyone is saying, although I'm not sure she'll ever be winning awards for her acting) 8.1 is definitely too good a rating for this, but it's not unwatchable, so if you're in a drama slump, this should be okay to watch
I mean... was this drama perfect ? no. did it fumble hard at the end ? yes. but did it also give me butterflies, make me laugh, and bring somewhat of the old kdrama feel ? absolutely !! so I'll keep fond memories of this wacky show ✨

I think they would've had to go to the bathroom in the lobby if they wanted to keep their garbage there. As they did their business in their rooms, they had to keep it there since there's a rule that says they can't bring anything outside their room ? now that I'm writing it I realize it doesn't make much sense either... maybe they just didn't want to stink up the lobby ? as for the lift situation they only sent it to other rooms through the lift after they had agreed upon it beforehand I think?
to the people saying this show is "boring" and "slow" etc, I just want to ask : do you have the attention span of a 6 year-old child? it's an original sci-fi story that builds upon mysteries and cliff-hangers with great stakes and huge implications... Also, as with every story, if you keep with it you'll see the rhythm really picks up. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire last two episodes I just don't understand... I don't think this drama is perfect, far from that and I have a good amount of criticism abt it too but this is not a matter of preference, the bad reviews feel unjustified to me and I feel like more and more people are complaining about dramas being "boring" I just don't get it
although there were times when it got draggy and some storylines that were kinda dumb, all the characters had very interesting arcs and the couples were freaking cute, so it was an overall very fun and heartwarming watch!! (also crushing hard on Liao Zhen Yu)
very nice show, super fun and the cringy moments (which I usually can't stand) were just too funny here, I also really loved all the characters and the side stories however I didn't like the love triangle, I feel like the story could still have been good (if not better) w/o it : the second lead was an obnoxious douche really rude to FL for literally no reason, and the first lead had no chemistry whatsoever with the FL (I still am not even sure who was 1st lead and who was 2nd lead, like???) I'm a big romance fan, but only when it's done right, and it's too bad because this had the potential to be a great story about simple boy/girl friendship or honest platonic admiration :/ still, let me give you some advice : you should watch because the show it too fun, the poems are beautiful and the side characters are great ;)
I'm surprised most people liked the beginning better than the end, to me the last but one episode was quite satisfying, and even though the last episode dragged towards the end, I feel like things were nicely wrapped.
My issues with this drama though are present throughout the entirety of the show, for exemple, Yi Seo to me was a very problematic character, she was incredibly selfish and inconsiderate and just explained her cruel behavior away by saying she might be a sociopath ??? this just doesn't fly with me.
Also, seeing such diversity in a drama was great, however, and just like for most western shows, it felt forced and empty in the end, particularly for Toni : his storyline was messy and eventually served the main characters' plot, making it even less impactful. This was very disappointing.
Overall, the beginning and end were quite good, the middle was plain, not that great. Themes that are not usually treated in dramas are present, creating a great opportunity to open a dialogue. And most characters are compelling, with great acting.
To me this drama is a 7.5/10 because there were lots of issues still, and I have this weird feeling that I have been duped somehow, and this drama is just living on the hype it has created with a fake profoundness and openness. Idk just my opinion, still I advice you to watch it and tell me if you agree with the points I made, and if not, why ;)
