Was it a good idea for me to drop this at EP6 if I wasn't enjoying the female lead at all and found the romance…
If those were the things that made you drop it, then I don't think you'll enjoy it. I have kept going despite the FL and the romance, and would have dropped the show if it wasn't for the supporting actors.

I just don't see why it would be a "bad" thing if one of the reasons someone enjoys a drama is because they like an actor or actress. It should be fine even if it was the only reason, since I would suppose that people mostly watch for their own enjoyment and not someone else.

I don't wish to get into the bigger debate about the ML and SML, and I agree that insults shouldn't be allowed. I just want to point out that it can be insulting to say that the majority of viewers still watching are only doing so as JIW fans, since it can come across as patronizing.
I find it very difficult to sympathize with HC no matter how much this show tries at the end.Once she got adopted…
Though I agree with what you say, I do doubt that she actually cares about her daughter for her daughter's sake and not her own selfishness in seeing to her own needs.
What do you think about Baek Hee Sung teaching Eun Ha about the importance of reputation? Personally, I agree…
I agree with what he said, but don't agree with how he went about it since I think she is too young to understand the finer points. It is also important to be able to respect others as well as yourself.
Haven't you been watching since episode 1, her behavior towards the world as rebelious teenager has been changing…
I'm saying that she did the smart thing in telling him the truth, since that is something he values from her. It is a step on the way, and her keeping it from him knowingly might have come back to bite her later.

She didn't need to tell him that, but at the same time neither Sae Ro Yi nor Soo Ah seemed to think that information was that important for different reasons. It doesn't really change how he looks at Soo Ah, though it shows Yi Seo as honest and straight forward.

The thing is, if we are to assume that she is a sociopath then Sae Ro Yi (and anyone else) should be very wary of keeping her too close. And if she is a sociopath then it is unlikely she will actually want to get "better" even with help from others.

Obviously we are viewing this drama from different perspectives since Yi Seo sparks different feelings. I have never seen her as a rebelious teenager since I think that label put her behaviour in a softer light, and takes away her responsibility of her own actions. Yes, since she met him she has shifted her focus to Sae Royi, but at this point everything she has done seems self-serving in her quest to (as I see it) own him. I don't see her show any regard to his actual feelings, or any attempts to try to understand him as a person. So if they can show her in future episodes caring about him for his own sake, then fine. To each their own…
As a character Yi Seo kind of fascinates me, but her behaviour towards everyone else consists of so many "red flags" that I'm not sure I'll find it believable that she can be "better". Depending on how they do the ending, I would actually be saddened to see her end up with Sae Royi, not because of shipping preference but the thought of how unhealthy the relationship would probably be.
I am really enjoying this so far, mostly because of the female lead. I do see her as strong in the way that despite having lived through the physical and mental torment by her husband, she has found the will to fight for both herself and her freedom but not through sacrificing others. Also about the scene in the elevator, I don't think that it lessen her character to freeze in terror when surprised by the husband showing up and holding a weapon.
It is human to want to hide the things that we are ashamed of, especially the ones that have left severe consequences.…
I agree with everything you said. Even if she had begun to consider telling Ji Seok about any of it, the way everyone acted after what Ma Ri did would surely have been confirmation for her that she can't risk telling him. I think that she values him and his opinon of her, which makes her terrified that he would confirm that she is a "monster".
