It's not that interesting. There's a good plot somewhere in this story but it suffers from being such a short story. The relationship between the two leads start to develop and then goes into overdrive drama before suddenly resolving without anyone really doing anything to make the shift happen other than someone changing their mind just because. Also, the best friend is a terrible human being and I'm really not here for drama normalizing such terrible behavior. This series just needed more time to actually develop for it to be any good.

Fun

I was very pleased with how they handled the twist of this show. The drip of information was good, and we got the final reveal for why things were happening at the right moment. It also caused some weird jumps in the development of the relationship, but I love that they acknowledged it and at least attempted to explain it. I'm not sure they were 100% successful but the effort was well appreciated.

It was repetitive at times with J not being able to put two and two together quickly, and they could have done more with his weird perspective on the relationship beyond acknowledging but I'm overall pleased.

From what little I've seen of him, I really like Keen as an actor and Sea was improved in this. They can pull off a lot more range in being a couple than a lot of other actors, and I'm excited to see more from both of them!

That was cute fluff.

This was a lot of....... nothing. One couple has communication issues that are so simply to solve it means there's basically no drama, and the other one would be a very toxic relationship if it were real life. Seriously, if someone starts trying to use their money and influence to control everything around your life, run.

The characters were good! They were all interesting with pathos and quirks. I liked watching everyone interact with each other, but the actual plot was... "He likes him and he likes him but secretly he liked him for way longer than anyone realized. Now they like each other more." Any rivals or accidents or illnesses or anything that might possibly be compelling were wrapped up very quickly to get back to... what? A lot of cuteness wrapped around cold air.

It's better than a BL plot from like ten years ago where it would take the whole season before they'd even kiss, but it still has an immature writing style that reminds me of when I was first getting into watching BL dramas.

Exhausting main, delightful support

There seems to be a large category of BL dramas where the main couple are very boring and the best part of the show are the side couples and support characters. This is absolutely one of those. The actors all do a great job; I do not care for Nuea and Toh's story. Toh is so irritating and unwell that is makes the whole thing boring. I would LOVE a nonsense, low stakes, lots of cutesy scenes for most BL dramas that I've seen, but I skipped over huge chunks of this because I don't care about the main story I should be focused on.

Sky and Pao are where it's at. While the whole show is a wild exaggeration (affection) this courtship felt a little more real to me. A better message about body image and accepting love.

I liked when Nuea's cool friends would hang out with Toh's outcast friends. It was just fun people being nice and learning about each other.

Daisy and Som spin off series, please. Give Daisy a lead role and Som a proper romance story. Let the girls have fun too!
