I just finished watching episode 14...did anyone else want to reach into the screen and slap everyone!?
First, how rushed did that episode feel? It's like they were trying to jam pack everything possible into it. Still, I can't see how there is supposedly only one more episode left and so many things need to get tied up, plus some happy time for our leads...there have to be more episodes, there just has to be.
As with most issues in dramas miscommunication or complete lack of communication prevails. Mook thought Lan was referring to Nutch when he said he was thinking of other people, which we know he wasn't. Instead of him admitting his feelings to Rut, who already knows that Lan likes Mook, Lan continues to deny it. Then Mook does the same. I found that fact to be so difficult to swallow the presumed last episode before the show wraps up. You mean not one confession....not one?! And end the episode with them getting divorced!???? The one shining light was Rut finally realising that he has feelings for Petch....at least someone is catching a clue!
I was happy to have pegged Danai as the villain, but even that felt rushed. The episode was filled with flashbacks of things we already saw so the writers could tie things together. We saw them the first time, and trust us, writers, we remember. Right now, I am routing for Lak to destroy Nutch. Though how she figured out that it was her who was sleeping with Danai is more than a little circumspect, I will allow it because they could've done worse - because only one woman in the world wears that particular scent of perfume.
Honestly, this episode left me so annoyed that I had to come here and rant. I don't usually post, but this show got me, the second to ever do that after Hua Jai Sila (which I love to pieces and will watch again and again and again). I was looking for drama, but at least more tender moments than we got. I had hope when we reached what I thought was going to be the halfway mark and things started to look up for our leads, then I read here that there was only going to be 15 episodes, which I couldn't fathom with the amount of mystery, suspense and buildup they'd given in the previous episodes, especially around our assassin.
Now that I've gotten that out, I'm going to rewatch my favourite parts of episode 13 (gecko! - I laughed out loud for that one) and wait until episode 15 comes out.
Just watched episode 13 and was shocked to see that there are supposed to only be two more episodes to wrap up the show - how is that possible? There is so much to wrap up and give us some happy time between Lan and Mook. Episode 13 gave us some hope at the end of the tunnel with them supporting each other and all....then the writers went and had Lan go to the Heifferlump Nutch while Mook is being attacked! Nutch is such a gold-digger, she may have had a moral compass once, but she lost it a long time ago. As for Danai, I didn't trust him from the start so him showing his true colours was confirmation.
When it comes to pairings I personally love Petch and Poom. I've seen someone say that he's supposed to be gay, but I haven't seen that in the show. When Mook moved in Lan was cautioning her that he's a heterosexual male in the house, and even when Oak makes eyes at him he doesn't make them back, but hey I may be wrong. I think Petch is better suited for him than Rut, but Rut has it bad for her even though he denies it (the heart monitor doesn't lie). I think he appreciates her boldness because it's like him, but he doesn't like her irrational, immature side and he's trying to help her curb that and make better decisions. Lan is a little frustrating for me...but I'm a patient person. He has feelings for Mook, and quite possibly always did if some of the flashbacks are an indicator, but he didn't want to feel pressured or that his parents were winning over him so he has denied his feelings, at least until the alcohol got him, and even then he wasn't completely honest. He acts that way with Mook for attention, because even negative attention is still attention. her fighting with him all the time meant she cared, when she stopped and didn't bother to be possessive of him, you could see that he was worried, and the jealousy is real. I personally think Rut is making a play at Mook to force Lan to see his true feelings, but again, I may be wrong. He was attracted to her in the beginning, but it changed along the way, but he is a guy who likes games and winning, and all of this is his own game to achieve his ends. We just have to wait and see what exactly that is.
Loving this show, despite some irky moments. I try to focus on the good parts, and the laugh-out-loud moments, instead of when I want to slap Nutch and shake Lan. Hoping episode 14 will be even better than all the episodes before it!
Hua Jai Sila is by far the best lakorn I ever watched. It was wonderful to see one where the entire story made sense. I have watched some where I was asking myself, 'What rational human being was going to do that? Are they stupid?' Not this one. I enjoyed every episode and have already re-watched my favourite ones several times. The acting was superb. I especially loved Thanapob Leeluttnakajorns portrayal of Tor. He literal transformed by the end of the show. He looked happier, brighter and as usual, the clothing reflected the change in his personality and mindset from dark, broody and mysterious to light and happy.
This lakorn told the complete story, unlike others that take you to the necessary happy end and leave it. This one, I felt, did a bit extra, taking you past the wedding to baby expectations! Which I loved! Tor's sympathetic pregnancy was so much fun to watch. Tor's interactions with Min were so real you could believe they were truly involved. They were in the moment every time and not once did you feel that it was forced. It was as close to perfect in a performance as you might get. Really loved this lakorn and hope to see more from both Thanopob and Fern.
